«Mia's POV»
It's been 2 weeks since me and Jake talked,texted or even met up.It was weird,I thought he was just busy as he just found out that the case he's working on is a major one and is working with government officials and authority to solve this.

Another week past and I was getting a little pissed.but why?We only been dating for a month and a half,I guess I'm just worried.Maybe a new lead was found or he was stuck at work?

I look at my phone puzzled to see why my phone was blowing up.I saw Jake's name appear on text message along with other social media notification.I click on it to see 3 text.

Hey Mia,meet me at Shaw's bar at 9.
Jake:
Dw nothing bad is gonna happen

Btw,dress casual.

Shit!It's 8.47 damn it!I quickly rushed towards my wardrobe and slipped on simple white shirt and tuck it inside my black ripped jeans.I wore a green bomber jacket since it's cold outside.I put on my classic vans and decided to walk there since it's only 2 blocks away.

*10 minutes later*
I open the door to Shaw's bars to be greeted with a loud cheering."HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA CHAVEZ!"Party confetti pop all over the place.A familiar face emerge from the crowd,a face I have not seen in 3 weeks,Jake.He walk over to me,in his classic hoodie and cupped my face.He planted a kiss against my lips,I got the same tingling sensation I haven't felt in 3 weeks.It was short,but passionate.He pulled away and warp his arm around my hip."Happy birthday babe"He lightly kiss my cheeks as he lead me over to the group of coworkers and Mackenzie.Jake lets go of his arm for Mackenzie to engulf me in a hug."Happy birthday bestie!"She said as I hug back.

AN: There's a one year time jump after this chapter and I got some gooood ideas for the upcoming chapters,also this chapter is just under 400 so.ye.
