Steve was tired but happy with how his deal went. His business was growing and prospering. What his grandfather had started, was only made better by him.Steve started working for the company when he was 24, as soon as his studies completed. He had been a part of it before, but he completely took over then. His grandfather has hopes only with him. Since his father was a complete waste, who was rich and spoiled and spend most of his life drunk. Steve never knew his mother. She was just a wild one night stand, and she left Steve once she gave birth.
Steve had no siblings, or he didn't know of them, neither did they care. Steven was taken in because his grandfather was worried that his son was of no use and all that he worked for would go to trash. When his mother told them, he immediately put a deal out for her. She got a lot of benefits for birthing and then leaving Steve.
Steve never tried to find her or to know anything. He knew she was an opportunist, and he didn't care. His grandfather and grandma raised him. And then he took over everything they worked hard for, making them proud.
It had been six years since they were gone. His father had died when he was in high school, due to liver failure. His grandfather died first, and then after a week his grandma died.
Steve didn't care about love and romance. He was a workaholic, he just focused on his business. But obviously he had his needs which were fulfilled by girls who couldn't give up on such opportunities.
It wasn't in his wildest dreams, that his grandfather would leave a will, that would change his life forever.
On his 36th birthday, Steve got the shock of his life, when his grandfather attorney arrived at his door, with the will. Being the sole heir, everything was obviously his, so why the will? He didn't understand. And when the will was read out, he couldn't believe his ears.
His grandfather had put forth a condition. If Steve didn't get married by the age of of 40, all of his property, everything that his grandfather made, would go to charity.
Sure, Steve had made a lot of more. But all of that had a connection to the business that still belonged to his grandfather's will.
He slammed the table hard with his palm and stood up, "I'll think about it" he said and stormed out of his study, leaving his workers confused.
When Sam, his manager and kind of a friend, managed to gather some courage to knock at his door, his reply only scared him further.
"Come in " Steve said in a rude tone. Steve sat on the sofa, messed hair, a drink in his hand, his eyes red. There were a handful of people he loved and trusted. And the person he loved the most, had betrayed him, years after his death.
"Sir " Sam opened his mouth to try and speak but Steve silenced him.
"Find a girl" he said with gritted teeth, "Find the most beautiful and needy girl. Who has burdens that I would lessen, who would be forced to live with me forever, who cannot even think of leaving me. Make sure she believes in her relations and can make commitments. Even if she is forced to marry me, she lives with me on some will. And make sure she is beautiful, both inside out. If I am to marry, I don't want to cheat on her. Find me the perfect girl, Sam, and fast, I want this to be done soon" he took a large sip of his drink, finishing it.
"Yes, sir" he said and left the room.
