Last dates as Boyfriend and Girlfriend

"What shall I get the two of you?" Our waitress asked

"I'll get the basil and cheese pasta, and she'll get the cheesy spaghetti with a side of salad" Connor vouched for me

"Alright, won't be too long" she replied and walked out the back

"How'd you know my order?" I asked Connor, stunned he actually remembered

"We come here a bit and you order the same thing every time" Connor laughed

We continued talking for the next twenty minutes and eventually our waitress bought us our meals, which were quite delicious. After paying, we left and went for a walk down to the foreshore where we walked along the beach, hands entwined and our thoughts leaving our mouths as quickly as they came to mind. The one thing I like about Connor, is that I can say anything and he will never judge, no matter what I said.

"You know, in three weeks we will be married. You'll be my wife and I'll be your husband. Plus, these little terrors will hopefully be here too" Connor chuckled, kissing my temple

"I know, I can't wait to finally be married to you" I smiled

"Really? I'm actually dreading it now we bought it up" Connor sarcastically replied

"I'm kidding babe, I'm over the moon about the wedding" he covered up, laughing and kissing my cheek

"I wonder how Kay and Jake are doing with Dani" I chuckled, wondering how much trouble my child could be causing

"I'm sure their fine.. Well I hope so anyway" he laughed

"Plus, the guys are next door" he added, stiffening at the thought of Luke

"I think I'm gonna call them, just to make sure" I said, grabbing my phone and calling Kayla

"Hey mum, how's the date?" Kayla rushed

"It's great, how's dani?" I asked, listening to Jake talk to dani in the distance

"Umm, she's fine" Kayla replied as a loud thud sounded in the background and I heard Jake scream

"What happened? Is Jake and dani okay? What's -" I started panicking

"Danis fine, I've gotta go bye mum" Kayla hung up

"What happened?" Connor asked

"I don't know.. And that's the problem" I replied

"Relax princess. How about we take the kids to Disneyland tomorrow?" Connor asked and I agreed, walking back towards the car

Jake and Kayla spent the entire day going on scary rides while Connor, dani and I just wondered around. Occasionally Dani would make Connor go on a teacup ride or something like that but apart from that we had a fairly relaxing day. Connor won both dani, the twins and I a large toy from the little games. Dani of course chose the unicorn, I chose the monkey and the twins got a different colored penguins, one blue and one green.

After the fireworks at midnight, we met up with Jake and Kayla who had beaming smiles. I'm guessing their day was pretty good. Kayla was carrying a massive penguin and cuddled it to her side as if someone would steal it away from her any second. I think the main culprit she had in mind was Dani though..

We made our way home and went about our nights as usual. Jake and Kayla in the bedroom and dani sitting between Connor and I while we watch a children's movie on the couch. Although it may not seem like anything, but these are the times I treasure most in life.
