Jon's POV

My hips were slightly slanted as i made the powerful stroke hitting the golf ball into the hole.
"How did lose to you..i am getting old". Kenderick Kienosky said placing his hands on his hips. His small ivory face wrinkled as he smiled at his son. The weather was cool although the sun was bright and the sky clear.
"You, getting old??...Don't give me that pitiful face".
Kenedrick cracked up.
"Jon, i want to have a talk". His face was suddenly solemn, his brunette hair glowed in the sunlight giving little hints of gray.
I returned beside him, joining him on the bench.
"What's this about??" i asked puzzled. My father was never a man to be so serious unless it was business or a huge problem. He was silent for a while, his breathing filled the silent space.
"Did something happen?"
"Jon.....How is Tan doing?" He turned to look at me, his brow narrowed forming a triangle.
"He is doing well..very well".
"I want to see him..invite him next time".
I nodded still curious.
"How are things going between yourself and Felicia?"
I ran my hands through my hair, sticking it behind my ear.
"Well.."
"You still waiting for her?"
"Dad.....have you ever been in a situation where all you crave is one thing and nothing else. Even when you try to quench that thirst with something else..it doesn't just quite go away".
"Have you tried other options?"
"You mean other women?" I smirked.
He grinned at my question. My relationship with my father is a precious gift i would always appreciate. Sharing my feelings, both good and bad with him, i feel at ease. He had a great insight -- he is a very sensitive man who valued family and bonds more than alcohol or sex -- he was different from most men..he was his own person.
My blonde hair fell to the corner of my face, staring down at my tennis shoes i rested my arm on my knee.
"A few...i tried a few options after the divorce..it was boring.....I rather remain celibate".
He raised his brow questioning my statement.
"Am serious....I don't need a woman to fuck for the night..i need a woman i can express love to..Thats Fel".
"Gosh..who are you??" he teased me. "She is the womb that birthed your blood..that shouldn't be unusual. A man who is cruel to the life that birthed his first blood would forever drown in turmoil."
"I want to help her overcome whatever she is going through but she just too stubborn..crap i don't even know anymore. Maybe there is no word to describe Felicia..she is just--."
"Sometimes you have to let go".
I took a deep breath.
"Have you given up..who said i was going lose?" Kenedrick said standing.

Felicia's POV

"So wait..you actually went on a date with a young man..You!!....I would never believe that", Giana said picking up her drink.
"Its not a date okay..I simply bought him dinner".
Her gaze scruntized me, not buying my word.
"You enjoyed it".
"How sure are you?"
"Ha!...sweety look at the expression on your face..you wanna see him again don't you ?", she said leaning forward me like she was sharing a secret the world should never know about.
I avoided her eyes. I felt she could see through me and everything going on inside.
"Maybe".
"I don't mind you having fun honestly.....you need to step out of your comfort zone."
I smiled.
"I didn't say i was going to keep seeing him".
"Tell me..how is this guy exactly?"
I was quiet for while looking for a fitting summary.
"He is fascinating..but--"
"But what??"
"There is something a little off about him".
Giana shook her head like she was still processing the term i used.
"Fascinating ?....I would like to meet this young fellow. But if you feel comfortable with him..you go have some fun".
Lunch break has always been our girls bonding time during the weekdays. We shared each others stress and free the frustration sailing somewhere in our bubble of emotions.
"I got to go now..i have a divorce case to deal with."
It was ironic how Giana was a divorce attorney and still takes my childish marital problems serious when she has seen way more complicated situation.

Tanney's POV

"I am so disappointed that halloween fell into a Tuesday this year", Lisa said.
"Yeah..but i don't really care".
She shook her head.
Upright on her toes while standing on a stool, she hanged the banner.
"You don't care about anything...do you?"
I shrugged my shoulder.
The community center was swimming with local teenagers who volunteered to help with the haunted house. The room was infused with chatters and laughter.
"Are you coming to the after party tonight?"
Lisa and i have been friends for a very long time but she's still trying to figure me out. The truth was that i was unpredicted, i knew that myself. People around me had expectations and i try my best not match their expectations, it is either i go beyond it or i totally disregard it
"Maybe".
Feeling restless and worn out i reached into the Coleman cooler for a bottle of cold water. Popping it open, i jugged it down, feeling the cold substance burn my throat.
"Easy bro", joshua said joining me on the stairs.
I smirked.
Finishing the remaining content, i pitched the empty plastic bottle into the trash.
"We are almost done", i said looking around the room.
"You should check out the other rooms...it sure would be scary at night".
"it sure would"
"Trust the Terrace teens", Joshua said proudly.
