~Charlotte~
Once I got home I put my coat on the coat hanger and went to find James. He wasn't downstairs so I went up to look for him. I went to his office and I heard him talking to someone. I didn't want to interrupt but something compelled me to listen. I put my ear against the door.
"Yes-No-Why?-Of course I'm looking after her.-What?-No I'm not attached to her.-I'm just doing my job.-It was you who hired me!-Listen I wouldn't of done it if.-It didn't matter just know that I'm doing my job and you should be grateful for that.-Yes.-I understand.-Goodbye."
'WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!' I thought to myself. I immediately opened the door. "Hi, who was on the phone?" I asked like I knew nothing.
"Oh, just a business partner. How was your day, Kitten?" he said it like he'd rehearsed it.
"I'm fine. Sebastian was acting odd today." I said sitting on his chair.
"Was he? How odd?" he said sitting on the desk.
"He swore not to tell. He's hiding something James. I intend to find out." I told him.
"You shouldn't do that." He said almost warning me.
"And why not?" I asked standing up in front of him.
"Sebastian has his own problems and he needs to sort them out himself. He had a hard time in the was and he needs to get back on track with things."
I just stood there staring at James.
"Who was really on the phone?" I asked him folding my arms.
"I told you. A business partner." He said glaring at me.
"Your such a liar." I said to him.
Somebody please tell me I didn't imagine this whole thing up.
"What? Charlotte I'm telling you the truth!" He said.
I walked away from him. "Don't talk to me."
"Charlotte please!" He called after me but I slammed the door before he caught up with me.
Why do people always have to keep secrets from me?!
