"Are you sure it's normal for her to eat this much?" Bre asked.

I was getting ready to go out for the morning. I didn't tell Shayne where I would be going. Eric was visiting again and they were at the pack building discussing business. This was part of the plan and I needed to get going soon.

"Yes, Bre." I said for the fifth time. "She's a baby, she eats a lot."

"Are you sure you want to do this alone?" She asked.

"If I let you or Jake come with me then Rider will know something is up. I need to do this alone."

"Sage, please don't go. I mean, I trust Justin to protect you but what if-if Rider does something to him?"

"Stop freaking out, nothing bad is going to happen. I'll be gone no more than two hours."

"Please be very careful."

"I'll be back."

I bent down to kiss Elle on her small cheek before heading out. Sam was nice enough to lone me his car. Guards were posted outside of the house and they all looked at me when I walked out.

"I'm going out and I will be back in an hour. I'm out to buy him something- it's a surprise. Not a word about this to Shayne." I warned. "As your Luna that is an order."

They all nodded and continued to watch as I climbed in Sam's car. I sped off and headed into town towards the outlet mall. I still had time to get there before Justin did.

It took me less than thirty minutes to get to the outlet. I walked around for a bit just to not look suspicious. I had to make sure to keep away from wolves that were out and about. I didn't need any of them telling Shayne I was out and unprotected.

Due to the Rogue attack, Shayne put the pack on lockdown and had double rounds made throughout the day. He didn't want anyone to slip past our guards and attack. Shayne was paranoid that we would get hurt.

I sensed him as soon as he walked in the store I was in. Justin stood at the door and I walked up to him. We slipped out of the store together and headed towards the back. We continued to walk where the wooded area was.

"Were you followed?" Justin asked.

"No. Were you?" I asked, looking around suspiciously.

"I'm the Beta, no one could follow me. Rider had me coming here for business. Everything is going smoothly."

"Let's hope everything continues to run that way." I said.

"Bre told me about Eleanor. Congratulations." Justin said.

"Thank you. Now let's just get on with this."

We walked further into the woods and walked for about ten minutes. We both stopped and I gave Justin a reassuring nod to get on with the plan. Taking a deep breath he gripped my upper arm. We continued walking and at one point he practically started dragging me. I started pulling and growling out at him. Justin started yelling at me and demanding that I stay still.

"Let go of me!" I hissed.

"My Alpha wants to see you." He said.

"Screw what your precious Alpha has to say. Let go of me or I'll-"

"You'll what?" He challenged.

"I'll-"

Clapping put both of us into silence. I whipped my head to the side and Rider stood there. He had a grin on his face. I felt so much hatred flood me.

"What a wonderful surprise." Rider said.

"Let me go. My guards won't take long to find me." I warned.

"You look radiant for someone who just had a baby." Rider ignored my threat.

"What do you want with me? You already blamed me for the death of the Luna, what more do you want?"

"Shayne let you out. I just can't trust that you'll keep your mouth shut."

"I'm his mate and killing me would break pack law." I said.

Rider waved it off with his hand. He looked at me and I was aware of his eyes darkening. Justin let go of my arm and Rider started walking in a circle around me. His eyes roamed my face and every part of my body. It made me sick to my stomach.

"Oh I don't plan on killing you, Sage, not at all." Rider said.

"Then what?"

"You'll come willingly to me and if you do I'll forgive everything you have done."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because if you don't then I will kill you and everyone you ever loved. I will take down Night Shade little by little, and the best part is that you will watch it all happen."

"You'll never bring us down." I said.

"Oh but I've already started. Who do you think sent that attack? That's just a little taste of what I will do."

I knew Rider had something to do with that. I knew no rogues would attack a pack unless they had a death wish. Rogues avoided packs more than anything. I could have told Shayne that but he would have gone crazy and attacked Rider. I wasn't going to allow Shayne to do that.

"Y-you did that?" I feigning innocence.

"And I'll do much more."

"I won't let you hurt my pack."

"No problem in that, sweetheart. You can stop me but there is only one way you can do that."

"H-how?"

"If I would have known how strong of a wolf you have become, I should have taken you as my Luna instead. It's never too late for that though."

So this was what he wanted from me. That's the reason why he insisted to Shayne to hand me over to him. He didn't want to kill me, no, not at all. The sick bastard wanted me all for himself. I figured that was what he wanted but hearing him say it was sickening.

"I'll never be your Luna." I spat. "I have my mate."

"You can always choose me."

"I would never-"

"I'm not giving you a choice. It's either that or your whole pack goes down."

I knew he meant what he said. Rider was capable of killing everyone in the pack. He was capable of killing Shayne and my baby girl. Rider didn't care about anyone or anything. All he cared about was what he wanted.

"I-I can't do something like that!"

"I understand it's all sudden but just think about what I can do. I'll tell you what, I'll give you two days to decide willingly. If you don't then I will kill everyone around you."

"My daughter-"

"I will leave Shayne and your daughter untouched. Come with me willingly and they will all be safe. If you don't then you already know I will kill them." Rider said. "Take her away now."

Justin grabbed me from behind and started dragging me away. Again I started fighting against him until we were far away from Rider. I knew what to expect when I came to meet him but I was still left shaken. I was dealing with someone dangerous and things could go wrong at any moment.

We reached the outlet and Justin still didn't let go. He already knew where my car was without having to be told. We gained odd looks from people walking around. When we reached my car, Justin roughly pushed me in. I grumbled as I tried to get in carefully. Justin leaned forward and lowered his voice to a whisper.

"I hope you know what you're doing." Justin said.

"It'll work, I promise."
