Chapter 41 - I Miss You

Nina's POV

I watched as his lips curled into a smile, a charming one, I must admit.

"Nina. I had no idea you'd be here!"

"Me neither! This is just so great! How are you?" I asked getting up to hug him.

"I'm great." I felt him smile into my neck as he whispered, "I missed you very much."

"I did too.. I really did." I whispered back. Before anything else happened Claire fake coughed, "Little bitch. I introduced them to each other and she doesn't even say hi to me."

I laughed heartedly and broke the hug only to squeeze her, "I missed you Clairy!!" I yelled.

"Oh shush." She rolled her eyes pushing me away but looked at me again, "fuck you Dobrev. I fucking missed you!"

"I did too!!" I kissed her cheek.

The two aussies went around saying hi to everybody sitting at the table before sitting down. Charles scooted over and let Caleb sit next to me. Which I'm honestly glad he did.

I felt excited to see him. I needed him, and I didn't realise it until I saw him.

"When did you get here?" I asked.

He shrugged, "About two hours. We came straight here my bags are still in the car."

I had many questions to ask him, his hair looked longer than it had about 2 months ago but it honestly looked much better. His eyes look brighter which is strange because I've never noticed his eye colour were this beautiful before. Not to mention, his skin was even tanner than before.

"Where are you staying at?" I asked.

"I actually still haven't planned that out." He chuckled, "Probably a hotel near Claire's or something."

"You can stay at my house if you have nowhere to stay at." I offered.

"Thank you, it means a lot, really-"

"What about Ian, don't you think he'll mind?" Claire raised an eyebrow.

"No I don't think so.." I replied awkwardly.

"Why not? You have to admit Caleb's a pig! He kissed you when you were with Ian! I'm sure Ian will not be happy about it."

I hate saying the word I'm about to say.

"Uh well Ian and I aren't exactly together anymore." I covered my face with my hands not wanting to see their faces I don't need their pity. I just want to move on!

"I'm so-" many voices started to say but I interrupted them.

"No please don't say it. I'm not sorry. Can we please skip the subject, I came here to forget about it." I snapped but then immediately regret it, "I'm sorry.. I just.. Can we please forget about it?"

And thankfully they all started talking about other things. "So how long are you staying here?" I asked both, Caleb and Claire.

"I'm staying here for a while I'm not sure about Caleb though." She answered.

"Not sure. Probably A month of so." He nodded, drinking his beer.

I smiled at him in response. Hopefully he'll stay longer. Whenever I was upset about Ian when I was in Australia, he always made me feel better. And hopefully he'll make me feel better now too.

"We should have an episode where Salvatore brothers, Elena and the original family are all together!" Daniel suggested.

"That would be great." I commented.
