Places We Went
We went on sunny roads,
and pouring rains,
and roller coasters.
We went on sidewalks,
and city streets,
and over rivers.
We went on libraries,
and coffee shops,
and art galleries.
We went on each other's arms,
and on each other's chests,
and on each other's stories.
We went on each other's fingers,
and on each other's lips,
and on each other's skin.
We went on each other's dreams,
and shattered hearts,
and secrets within.
But we never found love
on those places
even it tasted like we did.
—So, you left, realizing there's no place made for us because you already found your place on somebody else.
