You were mine,
and everything
felt like
watching
the northern lights.
You were mine,
and all
you did
was to
bring me
moonbeams and
silver nights.
You were mine,
but all I did
was to
chase
yesterday.
You were mine,
but I watched
how you
slip away.
You were mine,
but now
you're in
someone
else's
universe.
You're no longer mine,
but I hope
he drives you
to happiness.
You were mine
once upon a time,
and though
we never had
our own light;
our sparks
made
its way
to shine.
