City Lights and City Fools
Sit beside me
in the middle of an eclipse,
and sing about
burns and heartbreaks. We'll make late night drives,
and coffee in a cup.
We'll sleep on grass
and throw our hands up.We'll have far-away adventures
to dream about,
as we read tear-jerker books
we can't live without. We'll do river walk,
and slow dance.
We'll have another reason
to believe in romance.City lights will catch us
as we run away.
Hold my hand,
I'll never let you slip away.Let's be city fools
all over again,
by risking our hearts
with a bottle of champagne.
