Beads of sweat dribbled,
From his creased forhead.
Droplets of blood streamed,
From his dusty, damaged ears.
After all, what more can you expect
From a land miner...

Ripped vest,
Extra small shorts,
Was all that he owned
To shield his lacerated body
From the scorching weather...

Meagre wages,
Lack of education,
Growling tummy,
Abandoned on the cold streets,
To fend for themselves,
Was the dismal lifestyle
For orphans like him...

He loved to study
He loved stationery
He admired school
But he wasn't granted
What he desired...

Had he been educated well,
The world would have witnessed another competent,
Neil Armstrong!
Albert Einstein!
Winston Churchill!

The society crushed his dreams,
As fast as crumbling a paper.
And now he is left with nothing,
But heavy wheel barrows,
And a hazardous life in a mine.

What a disastrous existence,
For a disgraced teenager
At just 13?!
