I could only stand
Dumbfounded,
Gazing at your retreating back,
Holding your empty box of promises,
Finding a thousand reasons
For your sudden departure...
Your final words,
"You will never survive without me!"
Were the only warning bells,
That rang in my ears
Ripping my ear drums
And shattering my mind...
You didn't realize,
That you may not be
The only one that's losing me,
As I kept losing myself,
Eventually,
In the course of loving you!
