Two gloomy birds,
One who was deceptive;
One who was blinded by his deception,
Led a tainted lovelife.Sitting on an isolated tree,
They watched their nest in silence
While the droplets
From their cracked egg,
Dribbled onto the
Cold earth intermittently. With each droplet that plopped,
The heart of one bird
Was beaming in satisfaction.
While, the other
Watched out of despair and helplessness.
Yearning for someone,
To save her
From the emotional trauma
He had put her through. If it wasn't for this birds happiness,
She wouldn't have agreed
To destroy the birdling,
That they both
Would have joyfully
Embraced into
Their small world.The triumphant bird,
Hooted in contentment
When the last droplets
Spluttered on to the ground.
Yes, He was free!
Yes, He was peaceful!
Yes, He could abandon her!
Now, that she had nothing
To hold against him.She looked at the nest,
That was left
with nothing
But the remains
Of the cracked shells
Of their unborn baby! Her heart constricted,
Her expressions changed,
And she finally gasped
Because, she heard
A silent whisper!
A silent call for help!
A silent cry for love!
