Undercover {TW}

Excerpt from a draft I have and I'll be posting it once I finish the book. It's called 'Undercover'. Here's a very short part from the first chapter.

"Sillyehabnida" Yoo Jeongyeon and her partner repeated as they flew past the unbothered citizens. Sure they didn't heard the apologies, nor care for them, but it's the respectful thing to do.

"Geuleul bich-eseo jallanae la." Her partner spoke as she took a hard right down an alley. Jeongyeon continued down her path. "Jeongyeon?" Her walkie talkie buzzed on her waistband. "Chief, I can't talk right now. We have a theif on the run. Seungyeon and I are in pursuit." The girl kept running and apologizing to everyone she ran into. Including this beautiful girl she ran into. Although it was a breif encounter, the sun bounced off her brown hair perfectly creating this halo illusion.

"Jeongyeon," Her partner interrupted the image that repeatedly played in her head. "I caught her. Bring the car." Although she couldn't see her, Jeongyeon nodded and obeyed her partner's command. Wow, I thought it was a man. Jeongyeon thought to herself.

Once the car arrived, Seungyeon and the theif both stepped into the vehicle. "Wow, two beautiful cops chasing after me, if you wanted me so bad you could've just asked." The theif smirked from the backseat earned a scoff from Seungyeon but a blush from the driver. "Shut it back there. You'll have enough time to get laid in jail. Although you won't be the one wanting it." Seungyeon smiled smugly.

After arriving at the station, the two partners took the theif to questioning to get some answers before locking the theif away.

"So Miss. Minatozaki, why steal diamonds?" She shrugged. "They're sparkly, I like them." Seungyeon slammed her hand on the table successfully scaring the poor girl. "Why did you steal the diamonds?!" She shouted. "Because if I didn't she'd get mad at me and punish me again." A single tear rolled down her face. "Who would?" Seungyeon's voice now soft. "The leader. She's ruthless and has no mercy. She's killed one of ours before and won't hesitate to do it again if disobeyed." The two sisters looked at each other. "Kiss this piece of paper for me and you sentence would be cut short." The diamond theif complied. "Thank you for your cooperation. I will talk to the chief in cutting your sentence short. In the meantime, enjoy eggs and grits in your cell." Seungyeon put the handcuffs back on as she sent Sana away with colleague to ensure she'd be going to the jailhouse.

"Jeongyeon-ah, you haven't said anything the whole time. Are you okay?" Jeongyeon nodded. "Yeah, I was just thinking about what she said. You know about the leader. If the lip matches then we could be looking at gang affiliation. As in Sweet Kiss." Seungyeon sighed and sat besides her sister. "If we are we will get them this time. They only pop up once a year and we are not letting them go this time. We will catch them and put them behind bars." Jeongyeon nodded once again. "Come on, let's go check if the lips are a match."
