Part 35: Try

"I can explain?" Jimin said not really knowing how to explain the events which just happened but was willing to give it his best shot.

Yoongi just sighed walking past the open door and flopping onto his bed.

Jimin left the bathroom, turning the lights off before walking over to the bed with his head down.

"Don't look so guilty, you've done nothing wrong." Yoongi said sitting up once Jimin was next to him.

Jimin looked at him sadly still feeling guilty that he was supposedly woken up and that he let them enter his hyungs room without permission.

"So they told you I liked you romantically Hm?" Yoongi said deciding he needed to take a cool approach in what he was gonna say.

Jimin nodded the finally made eye contact with Yoongi.

Yoongi smiled softly at the cute expression on Jimin's face so carried on saying "And you said it was unrealistic."

Jimin nodded again, this time looking sadder as he did so.

Yoongi could've probably asked more questions and built up to it but instead straight up asked "Why do you think that?"

Jimin looked at him slightly surprised before a frown formed on his lips and his shyness consumed him.

"Cat got your tongue?" Yoongi asked lying back down on the bed.

Jimin still saying nothing.

Yoongi sighed deciding he'd be better off just speaking so said "They were being honest."

Jimin froze never expecting Yoongi to ever say those words.

"Taehyung spoke about you a lot when we would both get to talk and I always said to him you were to food to be true but apparently not. Your everything he described and better. Even when he said you were attractive I didn't believe him but I was proven wrong their too. I thought there had to be a flaw with you but I've been proven wrong. You've proven me wrong."

Yoongi looked towards Jimin who was playing with his hands shyly.

He chuckled at the cute act and the blush which had spread over Jimin's face as he spoke before carrying on.

"I've never been happier to be proven wrong. The only thing now is I have a giant crush on you for many reasons and the guys outed me." Yoongi said swiping his hair out of his face.

Yoongi watched as a small smile crept into Jimin's face then saying "And he doesn't even like me."

Jimin turned around quickly to face Yoongi who was smiling sadly at him who just reassured "It's fine."

"I like you hyung." Jimin said growing redder as Yoongi watched him.

"I didn't just say it... in a casual way..." Jimin said going an even darker shade of crimson.

"However... it's not realistic... I'm just a fan who probably thinks I know you when I don't and your an idol." Jimin said sadly.

Yoongi cut in saying "You probably know more about me than anyone else just from our random stories exchanged if I'm being honest."

Jimin smiled slightly at hearing that but was again reaffirmed "But your still a idol and I'm a fan."

Yoongi say up shrugging as he simply said "And?" Which made Jimin's jaw drop.

"Are you being serious?" Jimin asked trying not to laugh from shock which was a habit he'd developed.

"Why can't a idol and a fan date?" Yoongi asked back with a serious expression on his face.

"How could they? The idol would be out of the fans league and how could their be any trust? How would the idol not know they were just being used by the fan and how would the fan not know the idol was just using them, not that I think you would. There's also the difference in status which sadly the world is determined by and the fact fans tend to not look past the character of an idol their shown believing that's them, so how could you date someone who doesn't know the real you?" Jimin asked in disbelief that Yoongi hadn't thought about it.

Yoongi asked one simple question back which Jimin had no counter argument too.

"How could an idol like a fan romantically if they didn't trust them to know them and to not be using them?"

After Jimin not responding Yoongi added "I'd trust you but it's fine if your not comfortably with it. Just know that it's possible."

Jimin stayed silent for another moment before finally speaking and asking "Why would you trust me?"

"Because from what I've learned about you so far Park Jimin, you are a genuinely good person and their rare to come by these days." Yoongi answered making Jimin blush more then added "I'd love to get to know YOU better."

Jimin became a flustered mess.

"Anyways I don't expect you to think or feel the same which is why I didn't mention it when everyone was trying to get me to. Your probably tired since you woke up from that nightmare so we should sleep. I get if you don't want to share a bed." Yoongi said sitting up and scooping a pillow.

Jimin reached out and grabbed Yoongi's arm to stop him causing the other to raise an eye brow.

"I-it's Fine. U-umm m-maybe we could... I don't know... ugh I'm bad at this." Jimin said chuckling as he swiped his hair of his face making him look a lot less fluff and a lot more like a snack.

Yoongi waited patiently giving Jimin the time he needed.

"M-maybe we could y-ya know... t-try... I guess... if y-your cool with it." Jimin said with his heart beating ten times faster since he'd never asked someone out before sober.

Yoongi smiled genuinely before replying "I'd be more than cool with it."

Both boys then resumed the position they were in after Jimin woke up from his nightmare and ended up falling asleep in the others arms.
