Part Nineteen

A week after sy dan James berbaik balik, James decided to bring me meeting his parents..

I'm nervous to death..

"Honey, just relax ok? They are ok.. except-- my father..." James crinkle his nose joking to me..

"Babe, it's not helping ok?" I rolled my eyes.. He chuckles..

"Just relax ok? they won't bite..." balik2 c James ckp tu... it won't work either...

James pegang tangan sy all the way pigi rumah parents dia.. bila smpi, fuhhhh!!! It's a 'castle'.. it's gad damn big house.. a mansion..

"Brapa ramai stay sini?"

Ketawa c James.. "just my parents, the maids & butler.."

Right... they are fucking rich people.. sy jadi rendah diri ni.. mcm nda layak pula.. 😅😅😅

"We're here..!!" James bilang tgk sy.. "you ready?"

"Babe, do I look ok? Am I dressing too much..? Gosh, I'm freaking nervous.."

"Honey, look at me.." James pegang tangan sy dua2.. "you're looking great.. beautiful as always.. don't worry.. they gonna love you.. ok?"

Inhale.. exhale.. here it goes...

Kami sama2 keluar dari kereta.. James cepat-cepat pi side sy.. dia pegang tangan & sy genggam..

"Good evening, James.." ada satu perempuan sambut kami di pintu.. mcm middle age gitu.. dia senyum sama kami..

"Hi aunty Lily.. where's mom & dad?"

"Diorg ada di ruang tengah.. waiting for both of you.. and you must Gabriella.." dia bilang tgk sy.. manis ni senyuman dia..

Sy hulur tangan "Iya, aunty.. panggil Gabby ja pun bole.. how are you?"

Dia sambut tangan sy.. "I'm fine.. James, she's very pretty.." dia bilang sambil pegang lengan sy.. James senyum dan minta excuse masuk pigi ruang tengah..

Sy betul2 terpegun sama ni rumah.. very, very beautiful.. sampai kami di ruang tengah.. I saw a couple sitting next to each other..

"Mom, dad.." James tegur.. dua2 diorg terus tgk kami & berdiri.. 

James peluk & cium pipi kedua-dua ibubapa dia.. sweet..

"Look who do we have here..? this must be the woman makes my son smiling all day.." bilang mami c James.. I can't help it but smile.. "what's your name, dear?"

"Gabriella Phillips, Mrs. Hugh.. you can call me Gabby and you have a wonderful home.."

Ketawa2 mami c James.. "you don't have to be so formal, Gabby.. Aunty Matilda would be fine.. come here.." she embraced me in a warm hug..

"And this is my loving husband yet very strict, Lawrence.." sy shake hand sama dadi c James.. James betul2 copy paste dadi dia ni..

"It's nice to meet both of you.." sy bilang.. mami James betul2 mesra, you can tell from her smile.. in other hand, dadi c James diam ja.. betul2 James ikut gaya dia ni.. berkerut terus..

"Madam, dinner is ready.." Aunty Lily bilang..

"Ah! Thank you, Lily... Come, mari kita makan.." mami c James bilang.. she's very, very friendly..

Time makan tu, apa lagi? sy brabis kana interview oleh mami c James coz dia lebih banyak bercakap dari dadi c James.. James senyum all the time bila sy sama mami dia bercerita..

"What do you do, Gabby?" Uncle Lawrence tanya..

"I'm a student.. currently doing internship in James's hotel.." sy bilang sambil tgk c James.. James senyum...
