Part Twenty Five

Beep, beep, beep...

I heard a beeping sound.. It's sounds annoying.. Bunyi alarm ka tu?

Can someone turn it down?

I feel so relaxed.. a bit comfy but the beeping sounds makes me unable to sleep.. sy buka mata.. sy hairan sy ada di mana.. when I look around, I'm in a hospital and I was alone..

sy tgk tangan sy.. ada kana sambung IV line.. Sy pejam mata balik mau ingat kenapa sy bole ada di sini..

Yes, I remembered.. I was about to go to dinner with James and we were stop by two strangers--

Then, I heard the door opened..

"Oh my gad... Gabby!!!" si Nat terkejut terus dia nangis tutup mulut dia..

Dia maju pi katil sy.. terus dia cium muka sy... dia pegang tangan sy dia cium lagi..

"you're awake!!" dia peluk sy lagi.. terus dia tekan emergency button di sebelah sy..

"How are you feeling..?" dia bilang duduk sebelah sy sambil pegang tangan sy.. Airmata dia mengalir tanpa henti ni..

"I'm ok.." sy cuba mau bangun but I feel pain below my abdomen.. sy pegang, baru sy teringat yang sy pregnant tapi tiada suda..

"let me help you.." Nat tolong kasi bangun sy..

sy tgk c Nat.. "my babies?" sy start menangis ni.. Belum sempat c Nat mau cakap, masuk c Stan dan beberapa staf hospital..

"Stan, anak sy? mana?" sy tanya dia..

Stan senyum.. "They are ok.. they're safe but still in the ICU for further attention and care coz they're premature.. Don't worry, they're strong babies.. " I sighed to my relieved.. "It's miracle, Gabby.. you almost got complication during the emergency surgery..." I don't mind about myself, all I can think of is my children..

"James? Mana dia?" sy tanya..

Nat sentuh dan raba tangan sy, "He's at home, tengah berehat.. I told him to.. we take turns to take care of you.. He must be so happy to see you awake, Gabby.. I call him, okay?" sy angguk-angguk.. I missed him so much.. terus c Nat keluar..

"Stan, what happened? the last thing I remembered was I got shot.." terus sy pegang perut sy dimana tu tembakan kena.. "What happened to Anna?"

Stan angguk-angguk.. "Pihak polis berjaya tangkap dia dan orang-orang suruhan dia.. just in time.. So, miracle you survived, Gabby.." dia bilang sambil pegang bahu sy..

"Tembakan hampir kena salah satu baby but we managed to get it out and safe both babies and you.." airmata sy mengalir nda berhenti.. I thought I was going to die and leave James alone..

"It's okay, Gabby.. you're safe now.. nobody will hurt you, no more..." si Stan bilang sambil peluk sy..
