How are you guys finding this story?...

"I'm guessing this is not the surprise I was going to receive." Lily-Rae tried to lighten the mood as the rest of the riders landed by side her and Hiccup.

But no laughs laughed.

No smiles formed.

"Do you know what could've caused this?" Tammy asked as she eyed the destruction with sympathy. Even Nixon stayed quiet and held any offensive comments back, knowing this was not the time to be cocky or sarcastic.

In response to Tammy's question, Hiccup just quietly walked forwards into the depth of the destruction - the others following. No one couldn't take their eyes off the charred wood and bent pieces of metal that littered the floor like paper.

Picking up a chunk of burnt wood, Hiccup's knuckles whitened as he hissed, "who in Loki's doing, did this?" Placing a warm hand on his shoulder was the littlest comfort Astrid could give him as no words formed in her dry mouth.

"HICCUP! You need to come see this!" Cried a panicked Fishlegs. Running with worry, both Vikings were met with a heartbreaking sight.

As cold as ice, laid a dead Terrible Terror in Snotlout's crossed arms.

But what really caught Hiccup's attention was the arrow that was pinned deeply in its head, dried blood splattered around the tipping wood and on its colourless scales.

Delicately taking the limp dragon from Snotlout's arms, Hiccup focused on its closed eyes that were frozen together. Tears formed in his eyes as he grieved over the innocent life that was mercilessly taken.

"Who did this?" He spluttered as small tears trickled down his cheeks. Toothless sniffed the dead dragon and whimpered, his pupils widening with sadness. "I'm so sorry you had to see this bud."

"I don't know," informed Lily-Rae before pulling an arm from behind her back, "but maybe this might remind you of something or someone." Switching their gazes, they instantly acknowledge the item laid on her palm.

An arrow with red stripes at the end and it's head tinted mint.

Hiccup knew where this arrow came from. His anger rose dramatically as he eyed the arrow with pure hatred.

"Viggo." He spat with venom.

Everyone flinched at the acid that dripped from his tongue. Slowly taking the dead dragon from Hiccup, Astrid stepped back as he started to glow blue.

Not wanting him to grow, Lily-Rae quickly tried to calm his anger. "Wait, wait Hiccup! We-we'll find him and - and we'll give him a taste of his medicine. Let's just not try to get worked up. Right now we need to clean this place up and bury this little guy." She finished as she stared at the dead Terrible Terror with sorrow.

But Hiccup's body continued to glow as he gritted his teeth.

Just as it looked like he would start growing, a pair of distressed voices cried out.

"Guys!" Emerging from a thin screen of fog, was Heather and Dagur, their dragons by their side. Due to their presence, Hiccup stopped glowing and returned to his normal colour skin tone - luckily it went unnoticed by the deranged siblings. However, a tinge of anger still fluttered within him.

Without being spotted, Lily-Rae quickly hid behind Fishlegs, and tried separately not to raise her wings. Tammy and Nixon ran off behind a large boulder that covered both of them.

"Heather? Dagur? What are you guys doing here?" Questioned Astrid, surprised by their presence.

"The same reason why you're here." Replied Heather. Dagur nodded at her reply before saying, "we were hoping to have a little vaca here at the Dragon's Edge, but instead..." he trailed off as he waved at the destruction.
