Previously:
"Don't worry Fat-face, it's not you either." With a slow blink, her eyes rotated to me - the coldness freezing my heart as I stare into them.

"What I really want," she began steadily as she grazed a finger under my chin, "is you."

-------

Once again, my breath hitches in my throat.

What am I to her?
Why does she want me?

Despite the outcries of my friends, it didn't make Evanora flinch the slightest nor swipe the grin off her pale face. Instead, it only seemed to intoxicate her with sly humour (made me sick to the stomach).

All of my focus was on her as she drew in some air. "QUIET!" Was the next thing that roared ferociously out from her mouth. Immediately, everyone went silent as they were unprepared for the outburst.

"Now then," she said with an exaggerated sigh, brushing back a few strands of hair away from her face, "if you can so kindly keep those mouths shut, I'll explain this whole ordeal."

With another sigh, she began to talk. "Back when it was my time, witches were unbelievably powerful. They could easily throw a ruler off their throne with just a flick of a finger. Oh, it was such a good time - for me. That is until a certain unfortunate, good-for-nothing bitch stabbed me through the heart!"

At her cry, the flames flickered violently as if they felt her anger and nodded their burning heads in agreement. Astrid glanced at me with fear and I could see her eyes widening. I gave out a reassured nod, but unbeknownst to her, I was trying to hide my own fear as well.

"Weak and dying, I retreated away from the burning village that was once mine. Such a hollow place that was. But even though I was nearing death, I stumbled upon something that I could honestly say was one of the luckiest times in my life. A cave."

"Hah! A cave?!" Blurted Snotlout out rudely. Everyone, including me, shot him a shocked glare.

Is he out of his mind?

A low chuckle beside me made my blood freeze and form goosebumps on my skin. Turning her head, Evanora gave Snotlout a dark glare, her head slightly tilted forward as it gave off a creepy aura that made Snotlout stop laughing, his laughs dimming into pathetic huffs. I knew he realised the situation he put himself in and there's no doubt he regretted doing it in the first place.

"The names' Shitloud, isn't it?"

Immediately, the tense air was soon full of sniggers that everyone so desperately tried to hold in. I could feel a smirk form on my face as I tried to hold back a laugh that fought to escape.

"That's *snigger* his name *snigger*." Choked Astrid as she glanced at Snotlout, who gave her a death glare but looked more embarrassed than mad as his face shone bright red.

"Thought so." Said Evanora, completely oblivious. Soon the sniggers halted as she roughly grabbed Snotlout by his neck and pulled him down to her eye level. Even though Snotlout can be a spoiled, snotty brat, we instantly felt concerned as he was one of our friends and as a group, we don't want anyone getting hurt.
