The memory started off as gray haze, but things eventually came together.
Develyn soon found himself in the Underground, a place he had never been before. It appeared as a laboratory, but it was dark and empty, he then walked by creatures that he had never seen before, but their features were blurred, warped, and distorted.
"What are those things?" Develyn asked to himself. Develyn proceeded to continue forward. He then saw Asgore and Alphys having a conversation.
"I'm sorry Asgore. I tried everything, but they fused together," Alphys sobbed.
"Maybe if you try with an inanimate object, it might work," Asgore suggested.
"Yes, I'll get to that. I'll pick the first flower that grew near your chair," Alphys said with confidence.
"Do what you must," Asgore responded.
The memory went forward in time. Develyn soon spotted Alphys inside a lab room, injecting some strange serum into a flower.
"Alphys, what are you doing?" Develyn questioned. Alphys did not hear him, he soon learned the memories are like a kids TV show, no matter what you say something is bound to happen. Alphys soon left the lab, and time sped quicker, he soon saw what assumed to be Flowey before it disappeared.

The memory soon began to blur. The week went by in memory terms and Develyn was at the foot of the Underground. A human by the name of Eva (A/N: These really aren't the true names of the humans that fell between Chara and Frisk) ascended from above. Develyn soon overheard the conversation near the start of the Ruins.
"I've heard a story of a human that fell down here a year ago, and a monster somehow slipped through and was killed," Eva explained.
"Never heard about that," Flowey said with his beady eyes dilating.
"He's lying!" Develyn shouted to himself. Toriel soon stepped in to aid Eva around the Ruins, causing Flowey to disappear.
"By the Nine. She looks way different than today", Develyn mumbled.
Time flew forward by a few hours. Develyn then saw Eva sitting near a window near the edge of the Ruins. Develyn soon saw Flowey emerge and stab her in the heart. "By the Gods! What a psychopath!" Develyn screamed.
"W-why?" Eva asked before taking her final breath.
"Chara's promise. Six more souls," Flowey whispered. Hearing those words Develyn soon figured out the information. He quickly left the memory and fled the lab.

"So you're saying my dark ego killed the kid?!" Asriel asked.
"Yes. He said he still had to fulfill Chara's promise, something about SOULs", Develyn responded.
"SOULs... Wait, that's it!" Asriel stated.
"What about 'em?" Develyn questioned.
"Seven human SOULs are required to shatter what-used-to-be the barrier, maybe that's why, before my unnecessary death Chara said six more souls before I absorbed hers," Asriel explained.
"Then why are they returning?" Develyn asked.
"I don't know. The barrier has been shattered for a several months already. October 17. I remember that day. Frisk broke me out of my prison. It's like otherworldly spirits gave me a second chance at life, as if my first chance wasn't good enough," Asriel explained.
"Probably the Nine Divines were responsible," Develyn added. Asriel soon decided to take a quick little nap, causing Develyn to venture downstairs.

Develyn soon talked to Toriel about the vision he saw down at the lab, she was shocked and nearly broke into tears."I knew I made a mistake! If only I caught it sooner, rather than later," Toriel sobbed.
"He deserves another chance, Toriel. I kind of feel bad that he's been living in a shack in the forest," Develyn explained.
"I would love to see my father again," Asriel mumbled quietly.
"Even Asriel misses him. He hasn't seen his father since the barrier broke a few months ago," Develyn added.
The door soon knocked and Frisk had no hesitation to answer it. Alphys soon entered the house, holding something in her right hand.
"Hey, isn't that mine?" Develyn asked.
"Yes, this is yours. I didn't know you left stuff behind when you suddenly left the lab earlier," Alphys explained.
"Thanks for bringing them back. I didn't even notice those were left behind," Develyn responded.
"If it weren't for Mettaton telling me, I wouldn't have known in the first place," Alphys added.
"Who's Mettaton?" Develyn asked.
"He's Alphys' robot who proclaims himself as a celebrity. He also appears to be a major psychopath until Alphys updated his hardware," Frisk answered.
"One of the items you left behind. A crystal. Didn't you know it contains some kind of crazy power?" Alphys asked.
"No," Develyn answered.
"I guess I have a little bit explaining to do. This is why it's dangerous for a Monster to carry it, as well a Hybrid like you," Alphys stated.
