Asriel woke up in the Ebott County Hospital with a several things attached to him. He also heard a several beeps, which was his heart rate. He took a moment to scan his surroundings. His entire family was around him.

"Guys... Where am I?" Asriel asked.

"You're in the hospital, Az," Develyn answered.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Asriel asked.

"Please don't tell me you have amnesia," Toriel answered.

"I don't remember what happened, OK?!" Asriel exclaimed.

"Well, there was a roar of a dragon and Develyn killed it with a shout. The dragon then knocked down a part of a building. I warned you to get out of the way, but it was too late. A lot of bricks fell on your legs, crushing them," Frisk explained.

"I'm deeply sorry for using that shout. I just wanted the dragon to not intervene between me and Chara," Develyn apologized.

"Is she dead, Flowey too?" Asriel asked.

"They're both dead," Develyn answered.

"Am I dreaming?" Asriel asked. Develyn started laughing seconds later, due to it being a stupid question.

"I've never heard you laugh before," Toriel noted.

"You laugh like a hyena," Frisk added.

"That I do, Frisk. Once I start laughing, I laugh for a while," Develyn responded. Develyn stopped laughing to catch his breath. "Oh gosh. No, you're not dreaming," Develyn added.

"Oh, he finally woke up," the nurse stated.

"Finally? How long was I out?" Asriel asked.

"You've been out for a few days," Develyn answered.

"Goodness, gracious," Asriel stated.

"Asriel, your injuries were so bad, they had to put you to sleep for a short while. They also did a bit of work on your legs to prevent a deadly infection," Toriel explained.

"Are they better?" Asriel asked.

"No, they aren't. We have to get rods that'll grow overtime, since you have a lot growing left to do," the nurse explained. "Sadly, none of those exist. It'll be an engineering marvel if it happens, though. With your kind out and about, they might have one in the works already."

"How will he get around, then? Our house is two floors and his room is upstairs. I'd really hate for him to have the couch until the rod is in use," Toriel explained.

"I think he'll have to be bound to the couch, unless the two children can think of something clever," the nurse answered, referring to Develyn and Frisk.

"I think we can get him up and down the stairs. We have to use two wheel chairs though. One for upstairs, one for downstairs," Develyn suggested.

"It's worth a shot, let's try that," Toriel stated.

"OK, that'll be two wheel chairs," the nurse stated.

Eventually, Asriel was cleared from the hospital and the Dreemurr family went home.

"Dev, I wanna tell you something," Asriel noted to Develyn.

"What is it?" Develyn asked.

"I just wanna say thanks for being a great sibling. I never thought that you would care deeply about me," Asriel answered.

"It's what siblings are, Az. They watch over one another, protect one another, and they care deeply of one another. That's something Chara lacked. True, she watched over you, protected you, but I think the level of careness isn't anywhere near mine," Develyn added.

"Hehe. That's true. Chara didn't seem to care as much about me," Asriel stated.

"I will say one thing though. You gotta defend yourself. Yes, Undyne trains you for THAT particular moment, but you gotta learn how to fight back without conjured weaponry should you not have any," Develyn explained.

"Like, fists?" Asriel asked.

"Yeah," Develyn answered.

"I guess I can consider it," Asriel noted.

"It'll be a great way to defend yourself," Develyn added.

"I guess you can do that for me," Asriel stated.

"Great," Develyn stated.

Develyn soon realized that he probably became a permanent member of the Dreemurrs, due to the extreme trust. Asgore and Toriel were back together, largely thanks to Asriel, but Develyn was another key player to it. Sans was shocked at Develyn's accomplishment and considered him "The Monsters's Greatest Ally."

More stuff happened throughout the next full weeks. Toriel was confirmed pregnant with a set of twins, whose names were Dark Benjamin Dreemurr and Dawn Rhiannon Dreemurr. Those names largely spawned from Develyn himself. Speaking of Develyn, he became a full-fledged member of the Dreemurr family. Asriel made a slow recovery process with his legs, but he was able to walk unaided when his ninth birthday rolled around. Dark and Dawn were soon born on August 10.

The Dreemurr family was hopeful for everything to go right, but in this world, something has to go awry.
