Rewritten
Sans woke up in a place he doesn't seem to remember. It wasn't his own house that he shares with his brother, Papyrus, but in a bleak, desolate environment. He saw his own pile of dust on a stormy, rainy day.
A figure soon approached him a bit afterward.
"What is this?" Sans asked.
"A simple answer to a choice, should you forbid Develyn from fighting both Chara and Flowey," a voice behind him stated.
"What do you mean? Who are you?" Sans asked.
"I'm Julianos, the God of Wisdom and Logic. This is a clear example on what happens if you don't let Develyn fight these supposed two vessels," Julianos answered.
"So, I should give him a chance?" Sans asked.
"Maybe bringing you to the other option might give you and idea," Julianos answered. Julianos and Sans soon crossed dimensions, into the dimension where Chara fell to Develyn. The battle was already raging. Sans was then presented with Develyn's dangerous arsenal.
"Oh my. That is a lot of power for one being," Sans stated.
"You see, Sans. Develyn is the most powerful person to set foot on Nirn since Talos himself. His Thu'um and telekinesis combined make him a threat to anybody who dares to challenge him," Julianos stated.
"Where's Flowey? You mentioned him," Sans asked.
"Right over there," Julianos stated, pointing to an ash pile. Sans soon pieced that Develyn would BURN Flowey to a crisp. Eventually, Sans saw Develyn stab Chara, subsequently killing her. Sans soon realized that Chara's power, compared to Develyn's is weaker, resulting in Develyn prevailing. "That right there. That's what Develyn does to Chara, if you let him fight her, of course," Julianos added.
"I'm confused though. What would happen to both Asriel and Frisk?" Sans asked.
"Hehe. They're alive. Let's say Develyn has this power with his telekinesis where he separates them from Chara and Flowey," Julianos explained.
"What?" Sans asked. The tear into the future ended, leaving Sans and Julianos walking through a gray mist.
"You see Sans. You might've defeated Chara in an alternate universe, but in this one, Chara is simply too strong for you. Develyn is the only entity with the power to defeat Chara. And well, as you saw, he clearly defeats her. So, I'm gonna leave you here. This is possibly be enough information for you to make a decision, Sans. I'll possibly see you soon," Julianos stated before fading away.
"Kid... I never knew you were that powerful. I guess I have no choice, but to let you fight Chara," Sans muttered to himself.
***
Sans woke up from his dream. He was back in the couch, smelling Papyrus cook his famed, signature spaghetti. Papyrus claims people loves his spaghetti, despite everyone finding something wrong with the dish. Develyn finally dropped the bombshell, stating he HAS to taste his own food while he's cooking it to ensure he's getting it right. Develyn also advised using some spices to bring out more flavor, but not too much to where it dilutes the flavor of the spaghetti all together.
Sans proceeded to call Toriel on his phone, but the call failed to go through, likely because she was in a call with Asgore. Even though the announcement hasn't been made public, but Toriel conceived a set of twins a couple months ago, with Asgore being the father of both of them. Toriel wanted to keep it a secret, but the three have noticed her belly is a bit bigger than before.
"You have reached the cell phone of Toriel. Please leave a message, and I'll get back to you soon," the phone stated.
"Hey, Tori, this is Sans. I want you to inform Develyn that I've made my decision. He is gonna be fighting Chara and Flowey, rather than me doing it. Thank you," Sans stated before hanging up. He soon decided to go outside and look at the clouds.
