Chapter 20: TRUE Justice (Part 1)

Develyn soon received another image in his head. Chara and Flowey were both downtown.

"I wonder if they know they're gonna die!" Develyn thought to himself. 

Develyn soon went to downtown, where he saw both Chara and Flowey standing side-by-side. They were looking from Develyn, as if he didn't know he was there. Develyn used his Throw Voice shout at them both.

"HEY, CHEESE BRAIN!" the voice yelled.

"What the... Who said that?!" Chara exclaimed. Chara soon turned around and saw a figure standing in her path. It was Develyn.

"Oh, so Develyn finally decides to put an end to this!" Chara yelled.

"That I am, Chara! You've caused too much trouble. You BETRAYED the Monsters by taking Asriel away from them," Develyn explained.

"That crybaby is gullible enough believe EVERYTHING I say," Chara stated.

"Not anymore," Develyn stated.

"I guess you're more than an idiot than I initially thought!" Chara exclaimed.

"You're the idiot. Taking control of Frisk, making Asriel emotionally unstable, those are rather idiotic things to do," Develyn stated.

"And what did Asriel say to me, just curious," Chara questioned.

"He said you weren't the greatest person. It's clearly obvious. You treated him like a jerk! No wonder he hates the guts out of you and he forgets you, entirely," Develyn added.

"So he finally realizes the jerk I truly am. Guess it won't be long until he realizes you're a jerk as well," Chara added. Develyn started to hold Chara up by the shirt.

"How dare you!! Asriel has called me saint! The reason for this being is that I treat him like sibling SHOULD! I watch him, I love him to DEATH, and I care about him!" Develyn exclaimed.

"Well... Guess you're clearly someone who has grown attached to the Dreemurrs, and like everyone who gets attached, they end up dying," Chara stated.

"I'd love to see you try," Develyn stated.

"Hehehe. You don't stand the chance between the both of us," Chara added.

"Guess you're guess gonna be given some LONG overdue justice, Chara, but I have to do something first," Develyn stated. His eye soon flickered yellow, and it became a constant glow of yellow moments later. His missing was pulsating a line. A lavender glow emitted from his left hand.

"What are you gonna do with that?" Chara asked.

"I initially realized that if I killed you two, Frisk and Asriel would never come back. I was soon presented with this in my arsenal. They're coming back, while you two, split up," Develyn answered. Develyn soon used the spell. Frisk and Asriel were soon separated from Chara and Flowey respectively. They soon hid in an alleyway.

"I'm still me," Chara stated.

"You are, but not for long," Develyn stated.

"Lemme handle this idiot, Chara," Flowey stated.

"Fine," Chara stated.

"That's the last mistake you'll ever make, YOU PATHETIC WEED!!!" Develyn screamed.

"Hehehe, guess you truly are an IDIOT!" Flowey exclaimed.

The surrounding scenery became dark. Red flashing lights when on as Omega Flowey was presented before Develyn. "So, that's how it's gonna be, huh?" Develyn thought to himself. The first battle of two soon began. Develyn, the Vindicator of Justice, against Omega Flowey.

Laughing ensued and Flowey started attacking Develyn. "TIID! KLO UL!" Develyn shouted. Time immediately slowed down around Develyn, he was able to navigate through Flowey's attack before returning the favor. Flashing red lights continued, as the SOUL of Patience was begging to be freed.

A whole of bunch of blades stood before Develyn. But Develyn used his telekinetic shockwave to disperse the blades and continue the battle.

"Impossible," Flowey stated. "YOU CHEATED!"

"Now, I don't recall there being any rules," Develyn added.

"GAH!" Flowey stated.

Bravery was next in line. Develyn felt like he was in a boxing match, but he soon got out of it and the fight continued. Integrity was next. Develyn had to avoid giant tap dance shoes before continuing on. Develyn wasn't able to land very many hits on Flowey, even if he did, Flowey wouldn't take much damage. Perseverance was next, which Develyn didn't have many issues with. Kindness wasn't much of a challenge for Develyn either. As for Justice, his own SOUL trait, he had to dodge bullets. The six SOULs left the battle.

"His defense is nullified! CLOBBER HIM!" Talos screamed inside Develyn's head.

"Guess you aren't gonna last long," Develyn stated.

"I doubt it," Flowey stated. Flowey used all of his arsenal in an erratic pattern. Develyn dodged everything available and attacked when he had the opportunity. Eventually, Develyn had enough.

"YOL! TOOR SHUL!" Develyn shouted. Omega Flowey burst into flames, Flowey was left behind from the ashes. "And this is who you are, a weed. And you know what happens to weeds?" Develyn asked.

"W-What?" Flowey asked.

"They get burned," Develyn answered.

"Just kill me then," Flowey stated.

"As you wish. YOL! TOOR SHUL!" Develyn shouted.
