"I got it!" Develyn exclaimed.
"Thank you," Toriel answered.
Develyn opened the door and beyond it lies a short skeleton wearing a blue jacket. He's clearly suited up winter rather than summer, which is coming first. "Who are you?" Develyn asked,
"I'm Sans the Skeleton, older brother of Papyrus. Have you met him?" greeted Sans.
"I have. Played Capture the Flag with him, as a matter of fact," Develyn answered.
"Heh. Great to know. What's your name?" Sans asked.
"Develyn Dagon," Develyn answered.
"Develyn? That name sounds familiar! Papyrus was talking about you," Sans stated.
"I figured, with my batch of powers, far more different than any other person that I know," Develyn explained.
"Yeah, he told me about them. You speak some kind of weird language, that you only know. Then I heard about a dragon being killed. I knew for fact something was different," Sans explained.
"Wait... They know that I'm around?" Develyn asked.
"Not precisely. They rendered as a question. The headline literally read: Possible Dragonborn Sighting? Dragon Killed at Ebott School!" Sans explained.
"See? They don't even know who I am either!" Develyn exclaimed.
"That's odd, everyone knows who the Dragonborn is," Sans stated.
"That's the issue, Sans. No one knows about the Dragonborn. After Aldiun was killed near the end of the Middle Ages, the Dragonborn proceeded to hide his identity. Every subsequent heir wasn't heard of. When the Dragonborn responsible for killing Alduin passed away. People feared the world was gonna end. Yet, here we are, 550 years later. Dragonborn hasn't been mentioned in the history books since then. Here I am questioning my power, my ability. I keep getting these weird premonitions about myself being put in a dangerous situation. I constantly get nightmares about the world in fire and brimstone. I don't want to happen! Never!" Develyn explained.
"You picture the world in chaos?" Sans asked, getting unsettled.
"No! I don't! Nirn is a beautiful place. I hate for it to go," Develyn answered.
"Good heavens. I don't what to say, kid. There must be a reason why you're here. Maybe those dreams, or nightmares, are a preview of what happens if you fail. Maybe you're destined to save it," Sans stated.
"That's what the Divines think. They think I'm here to save the world. Talos said so, anyway," Develyn added.
"Heh, I figured. Anyways, mind if I call you Dev? Develyn is a bit of a mouthful," Sans asked.
"Sure, Asriel calls me that to get my attention," Develyn answered.
"I know for a fact Develyn himself has been acting weird. I think it was yesterday he mentioned Chara to me. I swear, I haven't heard that name in years!" Toriel exclaimed.
"Wait... Chara?" Sans asked, as the name sounded vaguely familiar to him.
"Yes, our first adopted child," Toriel answered.
"Dev, what do you know about this?" Sans asked.
"I don't know. Every time I hallucinate near Frisk, I picture a female in the same sweater as Asriel. The only difference being the single stripe instead of two," Develyn answered.
"Frisk? No, there's no way. I've been experiencing nightmares about Frisk resetting the timeline and retaking the form of Chara herself," Sans explained.
"Here's what I'm getting. Chara supposedly takes control of Frisk on the Surface, and causes destruction. From what you're getting she FORCES Frisk to reset," Develyn added.
"Hmm," Sans stated.
"And, I think my dreams are telling me to fight Chara. I think what I saw in the mirror the other day saw me victorious now that I think about it," Develyn added.
"Wait... You? Fighting Chara? I don't think you'll stand a chance. From my dreams, Chara is a powerful being," Sans explained.
"She maybe powerful, but I pack more a punch. Papyrus has told you about my power, hasn't he?" Develyn asked.
"He has. I don't know. Although, from what he told me, I'll have to think about this. I'll get back to you as soon as I can, OK?" Sans asked.
"Sounds good," Develyn answered.
Out of nowhere Asriel suddenly broke down in tears and ran up into he bedroom.
"He was fine a few minutes ago," Develyn stated. "I'll see you in a second, Sans."
"Alright," Sans responded.
Develyn ran upstairs and knocked on the closed door.
"Go away!" Asriel exclaimed.
"Come on, Az. I just wanna talk with you," Develyn responded.
"Fine, come in," Asriel answered.
Develyn soon opened the door and entered the room. Asriel was still tearing up. Asriel then flew up to Develyn and gave him a tight embrace. "Jeez, you're a tight hugger. What's wrong?" Develyn asked.
"I don't know. I was spacing out and a horrible thought crossed my mind," Asriel answered.
"What did you think about?" Develyn asked.
"There's something I should tell you. Remember the nightmares I've had for a while?" Asriel asked.
"Yeah," Develyn answered.
"Well, before I got blessed with a second chance at life, I lived as a flower. This flower form of mine was a jerk. He hurt everybody I love, went on and killed six innocent children, and framed my dad in the process," Asriel explained.
"You serious?" Develyn asked.
"Afraid so," Asriel answered.
"First off, take a great look at yourself," Develyn noted. Asriel did get a look at himself, his hands were present in front of him as he looked down.
"I'm me," Asriel answered.
"Yes, you're you. Not the flower," Develyn added.
"I feel a little better now. Thanks, Dev," Asriel answered.
"You're welcome," Develyn answered.

Dinner came soon enough and Sans decided to stay around to eat.
"What kind of food does Papyrus cook?" Develyn asked out of curiosity.
"Spaghetti. Although, I do wanna ask, what happened to your eye?" Sans answered.
"I don't wanna answer. Yes, I comfortable around Tori, Az, and Frisk, but I barely know you. It's best if I hold it in a little longer," Develyn answered.
"I'm curious myself. You've held it inside you for quite a while," Toriel stated.
"Like I said, now's not the time," Develyn added.
"OK," Toriel stated.

Sans left the house a little bit after dinner. Bedtime came around a few hours later. Develyn soon slipped into another dream, but the scenery was drastically different.
The dream took place in the Underground, about the area of Asgore's throne room.
"Great, another dream," Develyn thought to himself. Eventually, Develyn stumbled upon a pile of dust, coupled with a pool of blood. Develyn knew he was in for a treat. Eventually, he heard a loud, shrill, cackling laughter.
