‘No I think this one’s perfect. Alexa what do you say darling?’
Mum’s words snapped me out of my day dreaming. I wasn’t paying attention to anything, we were out for shopping. There was hardly any time left only 7 days were left for the wedding and there was so much to be done. It was a very special day for mom, after so long she had finally found her happiness in Toby. I must indulge myself in this wedding completely. At least for some time I will forget my own misery I was very happy for her. Mom looked beautiful as the semi transparent fabric of the wedding dress hugged her petite frame. The gown sits just below shoulder line and is held up by bodice. The dress was very beautiful it was long, flowing like a stream of breathtaking waterfall. It was pure in all senses I had never seen anything as beautiful as this dress ever. As she walked across the hall to flaunt her stunning dress, it was beautifully sweeping the wooden floor of the extravagant store. It was pure just like her and milky white, it was dramatic, it was classy, it was stunning she looked like an angel. I was stunned to see; mum she was indeed very beautiful. The dress was Veluz Reyes one, and so it coasted us a fortune. Mum has always been a very fashionable women she had an amazing taste in everything.
‘Mum you look so beautiful. Awww it’s so beautiful this is the best wedding dress anyone can have’
I went up to her and ran my hands on the beautiful fabric, it felt so soft and ravishing. I closed my eyes and something flashed, I was imagining wearing this wedding dress with Jaden beside me, we both taking wedding vows. I thought how I will look on my wedding day; the very next instance I regretted the same thought.
‘I will get a more beautiful one for your wedding Alexa. Much more beautiful than this.’ Mom said smiling ear to ear.
‘I know you will mum.’ I said squeezing her hand.
‘C’mon now your turn I want my daughter to look like a princess’ mum said with full excitement.
After two hours of constant struggles of getting in and out of number of dresses we finally agreed on a particular one. It was a peach colour long flowing dress. It was so fluffy just like a cotton ball. It was just perfect in all senses; it was elegant and so classy. The vest is form fitting without being too sexy, and its diamond like buttons add just enough sparkle to allow it to be worn for cocktails. I looked like a long imposing women wearing that dress, and I was happy to get such a beautiful dress for mum’s wedding.
It was a very long day and we were dead tired after all the wedding shopping, we were done with most of the things, and now it was dark and we were heading home.‘Alexa if I ask you something can I expect you to be very honest’? Mum asked me with a raised brow.
I knew what was she going to ask me, and I wasn’t prepared to answer the question.
‘Mum I know what you want to ask, but now I am very confused at this moment. I have strong feelings for Jaden but he doesn’t feel the same way’ I blinked away the tears that were threatening to burst.
‘No darling you are not, you know the answers they are there in front of you, just try to look for them maybe he is not so good in expressing himself or maybe you are thinking too much’. Mum’s reply had put me back into the same thinking process.
I don’t know what was happening around, one day he cared so much and the very next day he was least bothered, he had put me in such a situation where I had no idea in what direction to head. One thing I was very clear about that I was in love with this man. Whether it was a good thing or bad I don’t know I was in love with his darkness, his aroma he made me feel like it was worth taking the risk, I had this feeling that the path ahead was very dark, still I was ready to walk along as long as he was with me.
