His darks

Flashback 4

I was discharged later that evening, and we were in Jaden’s car, he was driving us to my place. Jace got out of car, as we reached my home, unlocking the door with the spare keys of my house that she had.

Since my head was still spinning, I was hardly able to stand let alone walk a few steps. Jaden opened the car door; he helped me getting out of the car. His right arm was around my waist, holding me steady, and my left arm was circled round his neck. He was so close to me, I could feel his rhythmic beats of heart, and I was nervous for the way my heart was pounding inside my chest. Being this close to him, his manly cologne was making me all the more dizzy, I inhaled his fragrance it attracted me all the more. The way he held me, felt so right at the moment, as if he was protecting me by taking me completely in his masculine embrace. His touch sending chills down my spine; my whole body was experiencing some kind of electric shock.  His breath was fanning my bare neck, making me swallow a lump of nervousness down the throat.

I looked at Jace, she stepped aside, making way for me and Jaden. She mouthed me ENJOY, with her devilish smile and I glared her hard, begging her to stop smiling.

The journey from the car to my room was hectic for me, hectic because all this while how close Jaden was to me. As Jaden had finally put me down on my bed, our eyes met, we were so close that I could see my reflection in those big hazel eyes. Breaking the eye contact my gaze fell on his blood stained shirt.

‘I am sorry Jaden for this, your shirt got stained’.

‘What..!! Girl you are crazy, you are apologizing for getting hurt, its fine it’s completely fine’ saying those words he laughed off. And oh boy..! His laughter was like a melody to my ears, I  couldn’t stop admiring him. His ‘KILLER’ looks, a perfect jaw line, broad shoulders, everything about him was so attractive. His looks were enough, to lay down any women, within seconds. I must be going crazy, I wondered, that could be because I hit my head very hard.

Jaden left my room after tucking me nicely in my cozy bed and within minutes I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up and looked at the clock; it was 12:15am. After a long peaceful sleep I was feeling better, much better. Slowly I pulled off the covers and got out of bed, wearing my slippers, I slowly made my way towards the hall. Glancing myself at the mirror on the way, I saw my head was pretty swollen, and I looked like an ape.

As I came out of my room slowly, I saw Jaden was lying down on my couch. He seemed comfortable at my house, I was glad.  Watching television, in dimly lit room. His face looked gorgeous all the more in this dim light he was truly a Greek god.

He got up from couch as he saw me coming. Holing me tenderly, as if I were a piece of fragile glass. He helped me settle down.

‘You should have called me, if you needed something’, he said in his calm tone.

‘I am feeling much better now and I was not feeling so dizzy after all, so I came out of the room’, I smiled weakly at him.

‘Where is Jace?’ , I tried to find traces of her, she was nowhere to be seen. Oh Jace is asleep in your mom’s room, she was all time active while you were in hospital, and here as well she did all the dishes and some cleaning she was pretty tired.  

 ‘Ohh poor Jace, she’s a darling’ I said.

Jaden went to the kitchen and brought back a tray of food, he had prepared spaghetti and a mug of hot chocolate for me. The way he was doing things for me was  so adorable. I was impressed.

I was touched, really touched by this gesture of his, he prepared food for me. Who knew that behind that player attitude was such an adorable guy. I kept staring him, my eyes literally popping out (not to miss, that I had really big beautiful eyes).

‘Your eyes will fall Alexa, they are bulging out too much’, He chuckled playfully. I did not realize, I must have looked a complete idiot, staring him like that without even blinking.

‘Oh Jaden, you really didn’t have to do that, I would have managed’, He looked at me with tilted head, a smile creeping up his gorgeous face, making him look all the more attractive.

He said gesturing one hand towards me,’just look at yourself you are hardly able to walk now c’mon eat something you have to take your medicines also’.

That was the first meal of my day, since morning, and the spaghetti was so tasty. I stopped eating, and looked towards Jaden.

 ‘Jaden did you eat..?’ Not getting a reply from him, I realized that he might have not eaten anything.

 ‘Ohh Jaden you know you are so, so stupid you were going through so much of trouble since morning, you prepared food for me, and you have not even eaten anything.    C’mon go get food for yourself as well; I am not eating without you’, Without even daring to argue, he went to the kitchen and was back with the tray of food, with similar stuff like mine.

He sat next to me, again I could not stop admiring, his charm, the way he ate, the way he drank his hot chocolate, so silently, his throat made a faint sound, while gulping down the liquid. Putting forkful of spaghetti in his mouth, that sauce touching his pink lips, leaving its residue on his mouth. How much I wanted to kiss away those staining, from my own lips, oh..!!  How gracefully he ate. How he must be at bed, I wondered. My last thought, made me shudder, bringing me back to reality. I have gone nuts, because this head injury, I thought.

‘Hey you..!!, stop checking me out’,  Jaden chuckled. Shit I was caught again, I thought, and smiled to myself, turning my head down I tried to eat my food with full concentration.  But this man made things so hard for me, without even doing anything.

We chatted, about random incidences of our childhood days, like it was once in fourth grade, he threw color on me in our arts class, because I was laughing and making fun of his, abnormal  looking painting. Then we both ended up, drenched in different shades of colors, pulling each other’s hairs and shouting and yelling to our, heart’s content. We were both called at principal’s office, so were our parents. Both are parent’s expressions were priceless. By now I was laughing so hard, that my head hurt.

 ‘Ok so it’s pretty late I guess, you sleep Jaden, you must be tired’

 ‘Ok am sleeping, I am really tired, laughing like a mad man’, and Jaden drifted off to sleep on the couch within moments.

As I went towards my room, before closing my door, I looked him for one last time. The way he was sleeping, so peacefully, his chest going up and down, breathing, he looked like a small child.  How much I wished, at that moment, instead of that pillow, his head would be on my lap. I could already feel what it would be like his head on my lap; I could imagine running my fingers in his soft hair. Brushing away the naughty thoughts, I drifted off to sleep as well. Not even realizing, how the coming days of my life would get changed, for better or for ‘worst’.
