Chapter 3 - Thank Goodness For That!

Sophie's pov

When we got to The Diner, we found out the place is closing down. Instead, there is a helmet shop opening. That is the worst thing ever. I am just hoping that these agent people change their mind and don't shut The Diner. Many people have and still do love that place and there are so many people who have been going to The Diner for so many years and are always happy happy after their visit. Me and the gang love The Diner and we will do anything to keep it open. After we reached the agents place, we got out of the car and went inside.

'Hi, we would like to speak to the agent who is selling The Diner.' Oscar says. There is a lady who here who works as a receptionist.

'One moment please.' The receptionist says.

'Thanks!' Oscar says. She stood up and went inside. We had to wait, so we all sat down. When 5 minutes passed, the receptionist came out. Another woman came out with her. That lady looks very familiar. I have seen her somewhere before.

'Aunt Kellie?' Jordan says.

'Jordan, what are you doing here?' Aunt Kellie says.

'Well, you guys are closing down The Diner, making Mo and Camila upset and they have no idea how they are going to get over it.' Jordan says.

'What are you talking about?' Aunt Kellie says.

'Aunt Kellie, you know what I am talking about! Why are you selling that place?' Jordan says.

'Look, we are not selling that place!' Aunt Kellie said.

'Aunt Kellie, just get to the point. Tell us what you are talking about so that we can clear the air.' Jordan said.

'Look, The Diner is not closing down, the person who wanted to open a helmet shop there, has decided to move to New Orleans. So, The Diner is staying open!' Aunt Kellie said.

'Are you being serious?' Jordan added. Me and the girls just looked at each other.

'Yeah! The Diner is never closing down, so you can mind your own business and leave!' Aunt Kellie says.

'Aunt Kellie, you are forgetting that I am the son of your older brother and there was an agreement between you 4 about not talking nicely with your nephews and nieces. So, please, don't tell me to leave or don't shout at me!' Jordan answered back.

'Look, if you are done here, then I need to get back to work!' Aunt Kellie says.

'Whatever!' Jordan added. He walked out of the building and Aunt Kellie went back to whatever she was doing inside. The rest of us just followed Jordan.

'Jordan, wait for us!' Cameron says.

'Sorry bro!' Jordan said.

'Let's just be happy that The Diner is not closing down and let's give the good news to Mo and Camila.' Kayden said.

'Yeah, let's go. And let Oscar get us back to The Diner, okay Ashleigh?' Beth added.

'Yeah, I was just about to say that!' Ashleigh says.

We all got into the car and drove of back to The Diner. All of us are very happy and also relieved that The Diner is staying open. I have no idea who else know about this but I am sure many people will be happy to hear that The Diner is staying open. Mo and Camila will be happy to hear this. Jordan seemed very angry with his Aunt Kellie. There is a lot of problems going on in that family. I feel so bad for Jordan and his family because his dad and 2 brothers are very angry with Aunt Kellie as she sold the family business to the family's arch nemesis and now Aunt Kellie tried to apologise to her family but they are not forgiving her, which is good.

'So, after all this, what are we going to do? What is the plan?' I asked.

'I am probably gonna go home because my mom is having guests over, so I need to help her.' Maya replied.

'Yeah, I might go home too!' Ashleigh says.

'Same!' Beth added.

'Okay cool!' I said. I can't believe they all forgot. The girls forgot that we were supposed to get a spa treatment and then go and have dinner at an all you can eat buffet place. But I guess they didn't want to go, they could have told me that they didn't want to go. But it's okay, we can go another time, I am just annoyed that they forgot we are hanging out but I am okay with it.

Ashleigh put some music on as it is very quiet in the car. She also opened the windows as it is very hot in the car and Beth is very hot in the face. To be honest, us girls are all red in the face from all the heat and warm weather we are having. As we have a little while until we get to The Diner, I decided to lay a game on my phone. That's when Oscar messaged me.

O: 'Hey, darling, do you wanna go to dinner tonight? Just the 2 of us? :) xx'

S: 'Hey, yeah sure. I have nothing planned, so yeah, dinner with my boo sounds great! ;) xx'

O: 'Great, I will pick you up at 6:45pm xx'

S: 'Yay! xx'

O: 'Oh but wasn't you going to the spa and then dinner with Ashleigh, Maya and Beth? Xx'

S: 'Yeah, but they kind of forgot and don't want to remind them :) xx'

O: 'Don't worry about it. You get to spend time with me, so it's okay :) xx'

S: 'I can't wait! But how are you texting me if you're driving? Xx'

O: 'Before we left, Cameron said if he could drive as he hasn't drove a car since his knee operation, so I let him drive my car! Xx'

S: 'Oh yeah! That's really nice of you! That is what I like about you, I love how nice you are xx'

O: 'Well, you know how I am! Xx'

S: 'Yeah, I know. I love you! Xx'

O: 'I love you too baby xx'

S: 'Anyways, I will see you back at The Diner :) xxxxxxxxx'

O: 'Yeah, you will ;) xxxxxx'

I just love Oscar. We have been dating for 2 years now, so the others, Maya is dating Cameron, Beth is dating Jordan and Ashleigh is dating Jordan. It is cute that we all have loving and caring partners. No one has ever come in between any of our relationships before, which is good. The boys are very protective of us girls. As we were approaching The Diner, we saw that the sold sign has been taken down, that makes us really happy. We got out of the car and went inside.

'Mo, we have good news for you.' Cameron says.

'I know what it is. The agent just called and said that you kids cleared up the misunderstanding.' Mo said.

'Yeah, now this place is going to stay open forever.' Beth says.

'I don't know how to thank you kids!' Mo says.

'It's okay Mo. Don't worry about it.' Kayden added.

Maya's pov

Well, the tension is over. The Diner is now staying open for good and Mo and Camila don't need to worry about anything anymore. I am glad it is all sorted. We all were given chocolate milkshakes, that is a way of Mo thanking us. We are happy with that. Camila and Mo always gives us free food and drink. I am just happy that we are able to help Mo and Camila with The Diner. The couple helped us a lot, so we have to return the favour and help them out. So, as that is all done, Ashleigh dropped us home. I went into my house and I found my family in the front room.

'Hey, darling, how are you?' Dad says.

'I am goo thanks. How are you?' I said.

'We are fine thanks.' Dad added.

'We have something to tell you.' Mom said.

'Okay, what is it?' I said.

'Your cousin Olivia is coming here tomorrow!' Mom replied.

'Seriously? That's good.' I said. I am glad she is coming down. I haven't seen her in a while.
