As I grabbed my guitar, wrapping the black strap around my neck and heading towards the entrance that would lead to the stage, my stomach grumbled. It wasn't the first time this had happened in the last few months. The hunger was getting to become excruciating as time passed each day. It was becoming powerful over my body and it was starting to control it. Soon, very soon, the hunger would take over and I knew I would need blood.
I could feel my heart racing and eyes start to dilate as the thought circled my mind. The more I thought about the taste and smell of it, the more my fangs started to pop out of my gums.
I snapped out of it quickly, as Josh started to lead us to the stage. I walked over to my side of the stage, making sure everything was still intact as a whiff of the sweetest smell entered my nostrils.
I popped my head up quickly, to see a girl directly in front of my eyes, in the front row. She was absolutely stunning. Her long, wavy, black hair cascaded down her back up above her waist. She wore a white dress that went below her knees, as far as I could tell. She had very little makeup on except a pigmented red lipstick. She had the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen and they made me want to fall right into them.
I noticed her staring back at me. She looked nervous, but excited at the same time. Her lips curved up into a smile, as I smiled back at her.
Josh quickly tapped me and told that we were starting the first song of the night. I grabbed my pick from my pocket and started strumming.
I couldn't concentrate though. I glanced at the girl again as her eyes were locked on me. Then, a thumping enveloped my ears. It was so much louder than the sound my guitar was producing. I closed my eyes but reopened them quickly to realize that the sound was coming from the rush of blood in the girls veins.
I just knew after this show ended that I needed to meet this girl.

My hands gently put the guitar in the case and closed the locks. I wiped the sweat formed on my forehead on the back of my sleeve, as I let out a breath. I grabbed the handle of the guitar case and carried it to the white van. I gently placed it in the back of the van closing the door after.
The boys were leaving for the next tour stop which was in a week, but i was staying here for a couple more days to see if I could quench this hunger that enveloped my body.
As I was walking down the alley and out onto the sidewalk, the same sweet smell came to me again. I looked ahead of me as the girl was smiling as she waved goodbye to her friend.
