Danny was coming over in about half an hour to pick Grace up. So, she was rushing around her room, throwing makeup on her face and clothes on her body. She was nervous, though this wasn't their first date. She was nervous because they usually only had dates where they were at the movie or at each other's houses but tonight they were having a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant.

Grace glanced at the clock as she slipped on her shoes, seeing as it was exactly 8:00 pm. She heard the doorbell ring from downstairs and rushed down the stairs with her purse, phone, and keys in hand. She opened the door to be met with Danny. He looked very handsome and it took Grace's breath away.

He was dressed in a blue button up shirt with grey pants on. His brown hair was cascaded down his shoulders. Grace had never met anyone more beautiful than him. Danny was thinking the same about her. He was stunned at how beautiful she looked. Every time he saw her, he couldn't believe his eyes.

" You look beautiful, " Danny said, cheeks blushed red. Grace smiled at him and she blushed as well. She was dressed in a blue, almost green, dress that went passed her knees and the arms of the dress had different types of butterflies all around. She was not used to getting dressed up like this.

Danny put his hand out for her to grab and she did. He walked her to his car, opened the door for her and then walked to the driver's side to step into the vehicle. The two were then on their way to the restaurant.

The two had been chatting and laughing the entire dinner. They were enjoying each other's company. Danny was talking about his time with the band and Grace was on the edge of her seat the whole time. She was always so proud of Danny and what the boy's were accomplishing.

Grace talked about her painting. She wanted to create more and more. Danny was driven by her and was so surprised at how she never didn't have an idea in her head about a piece of art she wanted to create.

The two finished the dinner but still continued to sit at the table. They both didn't want this night to end and didn't want to leave each other. Out of the corner of their eye, they could see much of the restaurant had started to become empty. Danny became nervous and decided to say what he wanted right now before he didn't have a chance.

" I need to tell you something, " Danny said, grabbing Grace's hand from across the table. Concern laced Grace's eyes. She was confused on what Danny wanted to tell her. She squeezed his hand and nodded to him, urging him to say what he wanted to.

" I love you, " He blurted. Danny became very embarrassed as the seconds went by and Grace hadn't spoken a word. She was just staring at him as she didn't believe what had just happened in front of her eyes. Finally, she spoke the four words that Danny was hoping to hear.

" I love you too, " Grace replied out in a breath. Danny let out his relief in a laugh and stood up. Grace laughed too and went into his arms. The two stood there, in each other's arms. Danny moved away from her only to put his lips against hers.

this was kinda cliche, i know. but i loved it so much and i hope you guys did too. the title of this chapter is the foo fighters song "big me" which i think really is like danny and grace's relationship.
