I stayed up late again. I don't know how, but whenever I'm watching YouTube, I feel like a time-traveler. It seems like only five minutes go by, then I look at the clock, and an hour and a half has gone by. So, of course, since I stayed up late, I woke up at around noon. I trudged out of my bedroom in my pikachu pajamas.
"Hello? Mom? Jenna?"
No answer. I heard my familiar text tone from my room. I rushed in to see who actually wants to talk to me.
Jenna Banana: my phone is literally at 1%..please tell mom im riding my bike home
I guess she spent the night at a friend's or something. I get why she texted me instead of calling Mom. If her phone died mid-call, Mom would probably freak out. I don't see why I had to tell her Jenna was coming home though. She always rides her bike home. Whatever.
I made myself a delicious strawberry pop-tart and grabbed the remote. I flipped through the boring channels before I finally found the one Ninja Turtles was on. It was about 1:30pm by the time I was finished. I quickly got ready to leave.
I took my long board to the nearest Starbucks to my house. We usually met there after school. I saw Savannah standing outside, waiting for one of us.
"Hey Brianna!" she yelled waving at me.
"Hey! Where's Tristan? Aren't we supposed to be meeting him here?"
"Yea, he went to go get something. He set up a table for us."
She led me inside. There was a table with our favorite Starbucks' frappes sitting there. I sipped mine as I checked Twitter. I noticed a tweet I was hoping for soon.

I sent him a beanie a while ago. I wrote "open on camera" on the outside of the box, just to be sure I get noticed.
Tristan finally arrived after ten minutes. Sure took him long enough. He seemed especially giddy today.
"Um are you oka-" I started to say.
"Shhhh.."
He put his finger up to my lips. I slapped it away.
"Okay, I have something for you two. You swear you won't freak out?" he asked as he sat down.
"No promises."
He handed each of us a piece of paper. I was confused at first. What's so good about a piece of paper? I read what was on it, hoping it was worth waiting to find out what it was.
MagCon Tour V.I.P. Ticket..
Wait what? MagCon?! V.I.P.?! I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Oh my god. Tristan! I can't believe this! Thank you so much."
I got up and hugged him. Savannah didn't look like she was breathing.
"You okay, Sav?"
She nodded and let out a small squeal. I laughed at how she was fangirling. Once we were calm, Tristan explained that he bought a General Admission ticket for himself so he could keep an eye on us. He was pretty protective over us, considering he was older. We spent the rest of the day together, mostly discussing plans for MagCon. Savannah and I were talking about what we were going to wear when I got a Twitter notification.

I nearly forgot how to breathe.
"Brianna, what's wrong?" Savannah asked.
"MATTHEW ESPINOSA FOLLOWED ME ON TWITTER!!!" I screamed.
"Are you serious? That's awesome!" Tristan chimed.
A huge grin spread across my face. I was so happy.
Later that night, I tweeted my happiness.

After what seemed like hours, he tweeted me back.

I tried my best to stay out of fangirl mode, because once you're in, there's no getting out. I remained calm and screenshotted the tweets. I couldn't wait to show Savannah. I was so overjoyed. My entire body was tingling from all the excitement. Before bed, I decided to check my DMs.

I was clueless what to do after that. I was in complete shock. Okay. Okay. Keep calm Bri. He's a human being. Just like you. Say something cute.
