~ Brianna
I woke up surprisingly early for a Saturday. As usual, I grabbed my phone and did what any other teenager would do, checked social media. Vine was my absolute favorite. I couldn't go a day without seeing my favorite viner ever, Matthew Espinosa. After a few minutes of lounging in bed, I decided to get up.
I quickly threw my hair into a bun and scurried downstairs. I always looked forward to breakfast, especially when my mom made it. She was always at work, so this was a special treat for me.
"Thanks mom," I said as I rinsed off my empty plate and shoved it into the dishwasher.
I was eager to go to the park to meet my friends, Tristan and Savannah, today. I love hanging out with them. Since its hard for me to make friends, I'm glad they always have my back.
I ran upstairs and hopped into the shower. I always have to have my music playing, so I put some on while I got ready. I jammed out in the shower, as usual. My sister, Jenna, found it weird, but I thought it was fun. I fixed my hair, makeup, and got dressed. I like riding my long board instead of getting a ride or biking. It's the easiest for me. I grabbed my board before heading out the door.
Once I was at the park, I texted my friends.
Me: See you two soon!
While I waited for them, I checked Twitter. I always stopped and paid close attention to MagCon tweets. I've been wanting to meet the boys for the longest time and...wait...there's one. As I read through it, my mouth dropped open in shock. I was in fangirl mode when Savannah hesitantly approached me.
"Bri, you okay?"
I didn't even realize she was there.
"EARTH TO BRIANNA!" she yelled as she shook me.
I could hardly breathe. I shoved my phone into her face and pointed vigorously to the screen. I got to see reaction when she read it.
"Oh. My. God."
We were both squealing when Tristan arrived. He calmed us down as much as he could, then asked us what was going on.
"MAGCON IS COMING TO DALLAS!" we said in unison.
Savannah and I laughed and high-fived.
"What's MagCon?" he asked.
"You're kidding right?"
He was smirking.
"Tristan."
Now he was laughing.
"Oh my God. You look so mad!"
"TRISTAN SMITH!'
He was still laughing.
"Of course I know what MagCon is! You only told me about 300 times."
"Very funny," I said as I nudged him.
We walked over to the skate park. I hated going there alone. It's usually where the druggies hang out. I was glad to have my friends with me.
Savannah and I attempted and failed at all of the tricks we knew. Tristan was sitting nearby, cheering us on. I don't understand why he never joined us. I guess he's serious about sports and can't risk an injury.
Near 7pm, we were getting sick of hanging out at the park.
"Why don't we see a movie?" Savannah offered.
Tristan and I thought that was a great idea. We all went to see, of course, another sequel of another movie based on some book that wasn't popular until the movie came out. I am the kind of person that reads the book then sees the movie. I honestly prefer the books, since it allows me to make up how the characters look in my own mind. Once I see the movie, the experience is ruined. I'm not always like that though. Sometimes its cool to see the book portrayed on a screen.
Anyways, during the movie, there was really sad moment (the main character's best friend's sister died). Tristan claims to be a macho man, but we both know he breaks at these scenes. I looked over at him to see tears welling up in his eyes. He didn't see me, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make my first vine. I took out my phone and opened the app.
"Is baby Tristan hungry?" I said before grabbing a handful of popcorn and shoving it in his face.
Savannah started cracking up while Tristan was utterly confused. Before my vine was over, we were shushed by everyone in the theater. Once the movie ended, I posted the vine with the caption: "This is what happens when you go to the movies with me @Tristan Smith"
We left the theater and started saying our goodbyes.
"Are you sure neither of you need a ride home?" Tristan asked.
"No we're good."
"Okay. Hey, meet me at Starbucks tomorrow afternoon?"
"Sounds good."
With that, he headed towards his car.
"So how do you think we should get MagCon tickets?" I asked.
"Well, we can figure out a way."
"I hope so."
"So, I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Okay, bye!"
"Bye!"
I boarded home with only minutes to spare before my curfew. Since everyone was asleep, I quietly grabbed my box of Hello Panda cookies from the kitchen and made my way up to my room. Luckily, I managed to get there without waking my mom or sister. I got ready for bed, then watched O2L while enjoying my cookies. I couldn't stop thinking about MagCon. I cant believe I might get to meet idols.
