~ Brianna

Once we got home Sam and I went up in his room to talk.

"Wait, when did you start thinking we were related?" I asked him.

"I don't know, a little bit before the others started saying we looked alike." Sam said

I look at him.

"I mean we do look a lot alike. It's weird. None of us have realized it until now."

He nods.

"Yeah but I want to figure out if we're all just going crazy, or if you're really my sister. If you are, does that mean I can kill Matt for kissing another girl?"

I laugh a little and shrug.

"We'll get to that part when it comes." I say and look down.

"Anyways that's if we're even related. I mean I'll still kick his ass but not as hard."

I laugh a little harder. I love Sam acting all big brother like. I just hope he doesn't get annoyingly protective.

"Alright you want to call your mom first, or do u want me to call my dad, or do you want to wait?"

"Ill call my mom first. I want to see if she'll tell me." He nods.

I dial my mom's cell. After 3 or 4 rings she picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey mom it's Brianna! "

"Brianna hey. Sorry I didn't recognize your number."

"Anyways I was wondering if I could ask you something really really important?"

"Yeah what is it?"

I pause for a moment before I tell her.

"U-uhhm did I have a brother?"

She doesn't answer.

"Mom?"

"Oh you wanted to ask that."

"Yeah now please can you tell me did I or did I not have a brother?"

"No you didn't. Why did you want to no?"

She's lying. I can tell.

"No reason. But can I ask you one more thing?"

"Yes."

"What was Dad's last name??"

No answer.

"M-."

She hung up.

"Damn it. I hate her sometimes."

I roll my eyes.

"Here, you see if you can get a hold of your dad and see what he knows about it." He nods.

I give him my phone.

~ Sam

Brianna hands me her phone to call my dad, to see if there's anything he knows about my mom. I dial his number. After the 5th ring, he answers.

"Hello who is this?"

"Hey its Sam. I was wondering if you could tell me more about Mom and her family?"

He sighs, "Sam, you've asked me this question too many times. You're just not ready."

"Dad, listen. I think I may have found my sister."

He goes silent for a moment.

"Oh," I can hear him beginning to cry.

"Yeah, so can you tell me?"

"Okay. Well, you did have a sister. Your mother and I were always fighting after she was born. Your mom wanted another kid. When we split, I got you, and she got your sister."

I sighed, all of my emotions hitting me at once.

"Can we get a DNA test or something? Can you talk to her mom?"

"Sam, I'm on vacation right now. Can we talk about this when I get back. I have all of your medical stuff at home."

"Okay," I mumble.

"Bye Sam."

I hang up the phone.

"Everything okay?" Brianna asks.

I take a deep breath. She looks down. I lift her chin.

"Hey, even if we're not, we can call eachother brother and sister. I dont care whether it's true or not."

She smiles. I hear cars pulling in the driveway. We both walk to the window and see everyone coming out.

"Great, they're home." Brianna groans and falls back on my bed.

I laid down next to her and looked into her eyes.

"You tired?" I ask.

"Yea. It's been a long and overwhelming day. Too eventful for me."

She turns to face me and smiles.

"Can I sleep in here tonight?" she asks.

"Sure," I accept.

She crawls up towards one of the pillows and buries herself in the sheets.

"Goodnight Brianna," I chuckle.

"Goodnight Sam."
