The week practically flew by. I was glad to finally be leaving this place. When the day arrived, I was excited. The tubes had been removed already. They had to put me under for the removal. My stomach was extremely sore when I awoke.

"Take it easy okay?" the doctor had said.

Matt came into the hospital room all jumpy and giddy. I gave him a funny look and he laughed. He brought me some comfortable clothes and my pillow pet.

"I'm gonna be in the waiting room if you need me," he said walking out.

I nodded and slipped on my clothes. I tied my hair up and strangled the pillow pet in my arms. I grabbed my phone and a bottle of water before kissing this damn place goodbye.

I waited in the room for Brianna. I was so happy she was gonna be okay. The doctor came into the room looking for me. Brianna's mom had to go back to Dallas for work or something. Jenna had gotten sick anyways, so she couldn't stay.

"I'm over here!" I said, waving my arm.

She smiled and approached me.

"I just wanna make sure you know," she started.

"Yea?"

"Uhmm, Brianna's gonna be fine. Please make sure she takes these pills everyday. They should help with the pain in her stomach. Also, she needs to eat at least one meal everyday. Something easy to digest. And don't stress her out. You also know she can't talk for about a week. Can you do that?"

"Of course I can," I smiled.

"Okay great. Here are the pills and all the information you need if you forget."

"Okay, thank you so much doctor."

"Not a problem."

I shook her hand as Brianna walked in.

"Ready to go?" I asked.

She nodded and smiled.

"Then let's go!"

We left the waiting room and made our way down to the car. Brianna started huffing on the way to the parking lot.

"You okay?"

She nodded and we continued walking. I helped her into the car, and we were off. She fell asleep as soon as we got back. I carried her into our room and set her down gently on the bed.

"Wake up sleepyhead," I said.

She shuffled in the bed a little, then opened her eyes and smiled.

"You need to take one of these pills for the pain."

I read the bottle to see whether or not she had to take it with food.

"Brianna, it says you have to take it with food."

I got onto my phone to google foods that are easy to digest. Don't judge. I'm not a doctor. Oatmeal, crackers, boiled rice, frozen yogurt...

"I'll be right back," I said.

I don't know how to cook...

"Shawn!" I yelled, looking for him.

"What's up?" I heard behind me.

I jumped and turned around.

"You scared me!"

"What Matt," he smiled.

"I accept your apology. Anyway, do you think you could make me a small bowl of oatmeal?"

"Uhmm, what."

"Brianna needs to eat something with this pill. Something easy to digest."

"Oh yea, sure. Next time, lead with that," he laughed.

I thanked him and ran upstairs to get Brianna.
