Chapter eight

Mayla, Lucas and Alicia arrived at a train station looking building.
It looks massive and grand, stone marble used to make it sparkle even more.
Columns outlined the outside of the building, with stairs going into the building.
In front of that is a group of ticket booths, fencing blocking anyone from coming in without permission.
Lines of people filled up the fenced lines towards the ticket booths.
Loud chatting was surrounding the area.
"We're going to be here forever!" Lucas exclaimed "We don't have that time"
"It is okay" Alicia said "I have this"
Alicia pulled out a card with was gold and transparent.
"You're a gold member?!?!" Lucas asked "How come you never told me!"
Alicia smiled.
"It never came up" she said "Follow me"
She walked to the left side of the lines and there was a line with no one in it with a sign floating above stating 'VIP magics only'
Alicia proudly walked through the line, with Mayla and Lucas walking after her.
Mayla got a lot of stares as she finally came to a stop.
"Hello Alicia darling how are you?" The person in the box said "Going out again?"
Alicia laughed.
"Yes, but this time I'm taking a few more" she said, moving out the way to show Mayla and Lucas.
The lady gasped.
"I can see why..of course" the lady said "Go on, you know the rules"
Alicia nodded as the gate opened for them.
"Come on, let's go" Alicia said, walking off.
"So...how does this happen?" Lucas asked.
"Since Mayla needs this as soon as possible, I will be using magic to transplant my current information of traveling through the portals since it is very challenging...and I will teach you myself while she tries to get her friend with the petal" Alicia explained, letting Mayla pull out a white rose-like flower with purple outlines and blue, pink and silver shimmering specks all over it.
"Is it safe?" Mayla asked as they started walking up the stairs.
"Don't worry, it will be fine" Alicia said.
They walked into he building and Mayla gasped.
Inside was a massive hallway with massive arches on each side with signs above it.
Some of the signs stated 'Los Angeles', 'Havana' and 'Seattle'
"Its a never ending building, fulled with different towns or cities" Alicia explained as they walked "Just walk into one and you get placed at the place you were thinking of"
Mayla and Lucas nodded as they stopped walking.
Mayla looked up and saw the sign 'Treegrove hollow'.
Alicia turned to Mayla.
"Are you ready?" Alicia asked.
Mayla nodded.

Suddenly someone bumped Mayla, making her tumble into he portal, making her vanish.
"All no" Alicia exclaimed "Who knows what she was thinking when she went through the portal!"
"She doesn't even know what's going on!" Lucas exclaimed "We have to save her!"
"Come on, let's go" Alicia said "Hold my hand and think of the town square"
Lucas held Alicia's hand and they both walked into the portal.

Aphria walks around her best friend's home, clearly stressed.
It's been 5 days since she disappeared from her party.
5 days of nightmares and hell for Aphria.
Aphria is blaming herself for the events that happened.
If she just told her friend about her mother then she wouldn't have ran off.
...wouldn't have gone into the room.
Mayla's father's office is bordered off by 'crime scene' yellow tape, making Aphria sigh as she walked past.
"Go away! You had your chance! I hate you! I hope you die!"
Aphria took her head, trying to get her friend's voice out of her head.
They've been haunting her this whole time.
Her best friend could be dead and it's her fault.
Aphria watched a police officer slip under the tape and into the scene.
Papers were everywhere on the floor and the fallen camera and setting are still there.
Glass was everywhere.
Police assumed the window smashed and whoever took her went through.
Police immediately asked the photographer under a lie detector.
He told them that everything was fine and then the lights went out and the window smashed and he blacked out.
He passed the lie detector.
Everyone is worried sick about her, Mayla was more popular than she thought she was.
