Chapter twentyfive

Mayla was thrown from seeing her great grandmother to the familiar darkness which she was in while the dark being was being in control.
Mayla looked down to see she was in her 18th birthday outfit; her Jason Voorhees outfit.
"You're here, finally"
Mayla snapped her head up to see the dark being, or Sarah, in the outfit Mayla wore for the ball tonight.
"Where...are we?" Mayla asked.
"We're in the darkest point of your mind" the dark being said, looking around and then slowly looked at Mayla with a smirk "Where you will be forever!"
Mayla narrowed her eyes.
"You can't just...leave me here!" Mayla demanded proudly "I just got out of here, do you really think you can keep me in my own mind"
"Yes actually, I do" the dark being said, smirking "And once I have destroyed you, everyone would think I am you; I will be queen, with your precious Lucas wrapped around my finger, making me do my bidding"
Mayla snarled.
"You can't just do that!" Mayla said "This is my body! My head! My life you're taking away from me!"
"Well mine was taken away from me so I'll make you feel the same pain!" The dark being snapped.
"But I didn't do anything to you!" Mayla argued "I tried to help you!"
"'Tired' is the key work there sweetheart" the dark being said and then laughed for a short moment, her hands glowing in a light "Prepare to die!"

"Ignitulsis!"
"Alteenta!"
Dark and light magic blasted together, creating the beams of light to collide and create grey sparks.
"You really think I would not know magic?" Mayla yelled over the sound of crackling "I read a book before you took me over"
The dark being growled and pushed harder, the dark beam getting deadly close to Mayla.
Mayla lifted the beam, the beam knocking the ceiling of the mindspace and dust appearing.
"Mostortus!" Mayla yelled, a monster appearing.
The monster looked like an Ancient Greek chimera; a monster with a body of a lion, head of a goat arising from it's back and a tail that ends with a snake's head.
The Chimera roared, a firey breath appearing from it's mouth.
The dust disappeared to have a shocked dark being.
"What? I am a soul user Sarah!" Mayla snapped "Attack my Chimera!"
The chimera roared, it's front paws rearing up and making the ground shake as it's paws collided with the ground. The chimera charged, it's claws scraping the ground as it ran.
"Elementundo!" The dark being yelled, pointing it straight at the charging animal.
As soon as the beam hit the creature, wind flew it off of it's feet, making the creature fall onto the ground. The dark being moved her hand and water surrounded the creature in a bubble, the chimera struggling to breathe and swim. The water was then replaced with fire, burning the chimera as it screamed in pain. The earth then swolled it up, leaving the dark being with a smirk on her face.
"Sorry, your chimera was weak" the dark being said.
"Sancterio!" The dark being yelled.
Under pressure from the electricity coming her way, Mayla yelled the first spell that came to mind.
"Flvoitus!" Mayla yelled, making the dark being laugh.
"Fire and electricity?" The dark being asked, chuckling "Pathetic!"
Instead of the beams colliding like before, the fire and electricity combined and swirled around the dark being, making Mayla's eyes widen with fear.
"Say your final prays Mayla, you'll be dead in a matter of seconds from touching this" the dark being said "It was nice knowing you, it really was...it's sad you had to be in my way"

Eierla had Lucas to hold back Alicia, as she was yelling threats at Eierla.
The civilians were long gone; the king ordering them to safety leaving Eierla, Lucas, Alicia and the king in the ballroom which was once filled with happiness and joy.
"Why didn't anyone tell me!" Alicia yelled "That my girl was controlled by...the dark being!"
"Because you would know that she was the heir!" Eierla said "And she didnt want that"
"Why?" Alicia asked.
"She knew before she came back the second time" Eierla explained "She confirmed it when she saw me in the nursing home and I told her my name"
"So that means...I'm royalty?" Alicia whispered, excited.
"Yes, but do not think about that at the moment, what about your daughter?" The king asked, motioning to the twitching girl on the floor.
"I think she's fighting the dark being in her mind" Eierla said, "She's been mouthing a couple of spells"
"Like?" The king asked.
"Like the fire spell, the summoning monster spell, the light spell to name a couple" Eierla replied.
"But what would the dark being want her dead?"Lucas asked.
Eierla widen her eyes as Mayla started to moan in her state.
"So she can have full control" Eierla whispered as Mayla let out a blood curdling scream.

Mayla snapped her eyes open, gasping for air.
She was shaking like mad, her silver eyes dull.
"Mayla, are you okay?" Eierla asked calmly.
"My baby!"
Eierla glared at Alicia but then snapped back to Mayla, who looked confused.
"W-what...w-where, h-how" Mayla shuttered.
Lucas and Alicia ran to Mayla, kneeling next to her like Eierla is.
Lucas put Mayla's head on his lap, Mayla immediately calming down at his touch.
"What do you remember sweetheart?" Alicia asked.
"I-I was in my mind with...the dark being and we fought...and-and"
Mayla chocked on her tears.
"...I was burnt...a-alive"
Everyone gasped.
"I-I don't know how I'm alive but I know I won't be for long" Mayla said.
"Don't say that sweetheart" Alicia whispered "We can help her, right?"
Eierla sighed.
"Her lifeforce is fading...I don't think there is anything I can do" Eierla whispered, making everyone widen their eyes.
"I-I'm sorry I let you down" Mayla whispered "I let her take control and-and she-"
"Do not threat about that dear Mayla" the king said softly "Your name will be honoured for bringing back my daughter"
Mayla chuckled.
"At lest I completely my swear-"
Mayla suddenly started to cough, making her wince and curl up.
"Ow" Mayla whispered "It hurts so much"
"Mayla" Lucas whispered, making Mayla look up.
"Yeah?" She whispered.
"Be strong for me" Lucas whispered "And I will always love you"
"I-I love you t-too Lucas" Mayla whispered as Lucas kissed her on the cheek.
Mayla turned to Eierla and the king.
"T-Thank you for everything" Mayla said.
"It's an honour to help you" the king said "Anything for my blood"
"You have made me so proud of you" Eierla said through the tears.
Mayla finally turned to her mother.
"I'm s-sorry if I-I hurt you in any w-way...if I d-don't make it-"
"Don't say that snowflake" Alicia whispered, tears starting to fall.
"-p-please tell dad and A-Aph I'm sorry" Mayla whispered "I-"
Mayla's eyes went drowsy and she closed them.
"MAYLA!" Alicia screamed.

Mayla opened her eyes slowly, her body aching all over.
Mayla groaned as she stood up, catching the attention of the dark being.
"H-How!?" The dark being yelled, shocked "That was powerful enough to kill you"
Mayla held her side, which she knew was bleeding.
She knew she had burns all over her.
She knew she shouldn't be alive.
But she is.
So why?
"You really think I would...ah...die easily?" Mayla asked, trying to sound strong "This is my body, after all"
"You sound so weak, I can just end it all for you; it will be quick and painless" the dark being said, getting out a knife.
She charged at Mayla as an idea came to Mayla.
She closed her eyes and listened to the dark being's footsteps getting closer.
"You really think closing your eyes will make it-"
"Clarieo" Mayla whispered, opening her glowing silver eyes.
White mist surrounded Mayla, her hair flowing.
Mayla filled up her hand and the mist surrounded the dark being, making her stop in her tracks and drop her knife.
The dark being lifted into the air, struggling to get out.
"Using magic would kill you" the dark being managed to get out "And you would use to make sure I'm dead? Not to heal yourself"
Mayla laughed, tears falling down her face.
"No Sarah...it's to save you from the darkness you put yourself in" Mayla chocked out "I want you to be free"
Mayla's vision went blurry and her body felt numb and heavy.
"I hope you will be at peace...Sarah"
