"Does anyone know where Mayla is?" The king asked later that day, looking at Eierla and the other guests.
"No, I haven't" Alicia said, and then looked at Lucas and Eirela.
"I haven't seen her since this morning" Lucas replied.
"...same" Eierla said.
Silence filled the group which were sitting in the living room, next to the maroon flames from the stone fireplace.
"Captain!" The king shouted, making a solider run in.
"Yes my lord?" The solider asked, bowing to the king.
The king sighed as the captain used formalities.
"I told you to call me Chidon James, you are like a friend to me" the king said.
The captain sighed.
"Sorry...sir" James, the captain said.
The king rolled his eyes, knowing by the captain's smirk he did that on purpose.
"Have you seen Mayla anywhere?" The king asked.
"The million colours girl?" He asked, making the king nod "She said she was going for a walk, something about a darkness user or something"
"Oshan" Alicia said "She must be going to him but why? Last time I checked she hated him"
Lucas was about to explain what Mayla is going through but Eierla glared at him.
'Not now, her life would be at risk if we tell anyone' Eierla said in Lucas' head, making him widen his eyes with surprise 'yes, it is me'
"She has been a little...off lately" Eierla said, making everyone look at her.
"Explain daughter" the king said, raising an eyebrow.
"Well...I wasn't trying to be rude but I looked into her room this morning...I saw her...in pain" Eierla said "Her swearing is still effecting her and I think she would want the best advice she wants"
"Not even from me?" Alicia asked.
"To be honest she doesn't trust you or Aphria anymore after your pestering and yes, I know about that" Eierla said "She would want dark magic to track the heir to the throne"
"Doesn't she know already?" Lucas asked, trying to sound oblivious.
"I think she has an idea" Eierla said "But she wants to confirm it and only a darkness magic user would know"
"And how would you know?" Alicia demanded.
"Everyone in the royal family has magical abilities" the king said "Eierla was very rare indeed and is a life magic user"Lucas and Alicia gasped.
Eierla smirked and crossed her arms.
"Be careful who you question, I know what I'm talking about" Eierla coldly said, glaring at Alicia, who flinched under her glare.
She attempted to save herself.
"You could have helped-"
"Alicia, I know you care about your daughter's safety but don't you trust Oshan?" The king said, cutting off the prideful mother "Eierla; you go and get Mayla"
Eierla looked up at her father surprised.
"Wait...why are you letting me go instead of them?" Eierla asked.
"Mayla would need calm support and what I can tell you two are close" the king said "If what I'm thinking is correct, she needs to be careful about who she's around for now on"
Eirela looked at her father confused.
"And it's good for your royal training to start up again" the king added, almost laughing.
Eierla groaned.
"Alright, but at lest let me get changed into something I can travel in" Eierla stated.
"Eierla, you will still have formal attire and your tiara" the king said sternly.
"But father -"
"You're not a child anymore Eierla, you need to act like a proper princess" the king snapped, his carefree attitude gone.
Eierla sighed and walked out the room, leaving the room in silence.~~~~~~~
"I'm quite surprised that you're here" Oshan said to Mayla as he took a sip of some sort of tea.
Mayla sat on a chair opposite him, who was standing next to his bookshelf.
"Why have you come here young shexi?" Oshan asked.
Mayla confused for a second before realising 'shexi' means 'girl'.
"I think you know, as I only just found out myself" Mayla replied.
Oshan widen his eyes.
"So I was right, you are the heir to the throne" Oshan said, making Mayla nod, looking down "...why are you sad then?"
"I don't want to rule" Mayla said "I wasn't even born in this realm and now I'm tied to it because I swore to reveal family members of the royal family...which includes myself"
Oshan nodded.
"And also let's the swearing affect you as you don't do it" Oshan said "And it doesn't help with your life magic"
Mayla couldn't help but to gasp.
"You knew?" She asked, shocked.
He chuckled, putting his tea cup down on his potions table.
"I knew you had magic in you,I didn't know until you left and your aura was very strong and was mixed with white, black and purple" Oshan said "Your Finela flashed purple as you left as well, that's how I found out about you being a descendant"
Mayla nodded.
"My question still stands; why are you here?" He asked.
Mayla took at deep breath.
"You know about the dark being right?" She asked.
Oshan nodded very slowly.
"I know that it is dark and dangerous and was going after you" Oshan said slowly.
Mayla looked him nervously, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly.
"Well...I have a slight problem with it" Mayla said, showing her red eyes for a spilt second.
Oshan gasped.
