Chapter nine

Alicia, Lucas and Mayla walked out of the train station, or what Mayla found the name of after as 'The telepart'
"You're very lucky we found you like you did" Alicia said, "That could have gone worse"
"But it didn't" Mayla said, still recovering over the sudden pain she endured in the portal.
"Hey, are you okay?" Lucas asked, going to his friend.
Mayla had her arms crossed, looking even paler than before .
Her Finela looks a dull, black colour.
"Hey, is her Finela meant to look like that?" Lucas asked, grabbing Mayla in a tight hug she started to shiver.
"It's the side effects of transforming" Alicia asked "It effects people differently...Oshan said it effected the last person that every step they took was like they were walking on pins and their body was on fire"
"W-well...I'm so fucking cold" Mayla whispered, her teeth staring to chatter.
"I would say we can stop but we can't, we have to to keep on going" Alicia said "We need to get Oshan's tower"
"Not if she can't even walk!" Lucas exclaimed as Mayal started to lead most of her weight on Lucas "We have to stop and at lest help her!"
Alicia sighed.
"We don't have that much time" Alicia said "As much as I want her to stop, she can't; if she stops now she might sleep and never wake up"
"What?" Mayla asked, disorientated.
Alicia sighed.
"Because in your world, you technically haven't sleep in a week" Alicia said "And it would be even worse because of the transformation"
Mayla nodded.
"I want to keep on go-"
"You can't Mayla, your Finela is going grey, you could die here if you're not careful" Lucas said.
"But-"
"1 speed time rest won't hurt" Alicia said "Your condition could get worse when you get back to your world"
"But, can't you use a spell?" Mayla asked.
Alicia shook her head.
"I'm sorry but it would do anything since your transformation has already started" Alicia said.
Mayla sighed and nodded in defeat.
"Fine, but not for too long" Mayla said.
Alicia nodded while Lucas smiled with victory.
"We can stop at my calm place, the place we were before Mayla" Lucas said.
"I like that place" Mayla muttered, her eyes drooping.
"Okay, let's go" Alicia said, holing Lucas and Mayla as she teleported again.

They appeared at the river where Mayla and Lucas hung out before meeting Alicia.
Mayla smiled as she heard the sound of the river.
"Put her down" Alicia ordered.
Lucas did as she said, lying Mayla on the ground.
Before he could stand up she grabbed his sleeve, her now silver eyes looking at him.
"Stay, please" she whispered.
'She sounds so vulnerable' he thought as he sat down next to her.
He swore he heard Alicia chuckle and walk off as he got comfortable.
She immediately put her head on this pat, automatically making Lucas play with her washed-faded brown hair.
"Can you tell me more about yourself?" She asked, startling Lucas.
"Okay?" He said, confused "Why?"
"So I can know you before I go" She whispered "If I go..."
"Hey, don't say that!" Lucas complained softly "Be Positive"
"I'm a negative person" Mayla said.
Lucas sighed.
"I'm 18 from your world age I think" Lucas said "I'm kind, friendly and very stubborn..."
"What about your parents? Do you have parents here?" Mayla asked.
Lucas stiffened.
Before he could answer Mayla let out a little whimper.
"It hurts so much" she whispered.
Lucas rubbed her sides.
"You're okay, you're okay, just breathe" he whispered.
She took deep breathes, trying to control herself.
If she wasn't, she would be screaming right now.
"We do...but I never knew my father and my mother left me a couple of months ago..." Lucas whispered "But then Alicia found me and now I'm happy again"
"I'm...sorry" Mayla whispered, ignoring the pain "I know how it feels, my mother left me, or died...I don't even though"
Lucas and her both sigh.
"You know, I'm going to miss you when you leave" Lucas said "I never had any friends here and you're the only person who understands me"
Mayla frowned.
"I'm sorry" Mayla said "I would stay but I promised already"
"Wait you were consider-"
"If we ran out of time, I wouldn't mind being her" she whispered before closing her eyes.
Lucas knew as soon as she closed her eyes she's sleeping.
