Aaron's POV:

It's Saturday morning and Sarah's birthday. My heart clenches when I find out that looking at her, I don't feel any pull. I sigh but shake my head. I will not be disappointed. She can still be my mate. I shake her awake and give her a peck on her forehead.

"Happy Birthday babe." I whisper in her ear. She slowly wakes up and give me a heart warming smile. Before I can say anything else though, Damien and Rayden barge in screaming 'Happy Birthday Sarah' at the top of their lungs. Sarah squeals as Rayden picks her up and spins her around. I smile at the sight of Sarah's happiness but notice how I don't growl protectively as I usually do. What's wrong with me? Damien drags me out of bed and tells me to go and get ready. I quickly take a shower and come out, letting Sarah go in.

"Hey Aaron?" Damien says. I turn around and look at him. He coughs and and looks at Rayden as if to tell him to say it. Rayden sighs and goes straight for the blow.

"Is she your mate?" He asks and I growl lowly. They take it as a hint and know that I don't want to talk about it. We sit down and talk about other things and a little while later Sarah comes out, dressed in a yellow dress. She looks as beautiful as ever but I don't know why but I don't feel the usual pleasure I felt when I looked at her. I smile at her and grab her hand as we walk out and to Damien's car.

We drive to the park, Rayden and Sarah debating over another random topic like they usually do. We reach the amusement park a little bit before opening but there are already a bunch of people here. I jet out of the car and open the door for Sarah. We all walk and stand in the line. My wolf is a little on edge which I  really don't understand. The amusement park finally opens and we enter, paying for a whole day pass. I finally relax and have fun. Damien, being his usual self, buys an extra large popcorn bag as soon as we enter. We go on a few rides before Rayden grabs the bag from Damien and runs off, Damien following behind screaming at him. Sarah and I laugh as we chase behind them and after a really long time, I'm finally feeling free again. When we catch up, Damien has Rayden in a headlock and Rayden is begging Damien for forgiveness. Sarah tells me that she has to go to the bathroom and walks off. Suddenly my wolf is on high alert. I smell another pack and not any pack.

"Midnight" I say lowly so that only Rayden and Damien can hear me. All the playfulness leaves their faces and they look at me. I scan the crowd for the smell and zero in on 3 girls standing near the cotton candy stand with a guy right behind them. They're all laughing but my eyes stay trained on  the girl in the flower top. Something about her just makes me feel conscious about myself. I look at Damien and Rayden and they look like they're in some sort of trance too. I snap my fingers and they look at me. I nod towards the group and we walk up to them.

Damien' POV:

Everything was going fine until the Midnight rascals came into the picture. I want to spit at them or ride them into the ground. They had caused conflict with our pack for too long. All my thoughts disappeared though when I looked at the girls. Specifically the one in the black. She was laughing at something the guy had said and I wanted to rip his throat out and be the one to make her laugh instead. I was shocked with my reaction and when Aaron nodded to us to walk towards them I stuffed my thoughts at the back of my mind. I guess our scents were as strong as theirs because they all looked up. That's when I stared straight into her stormy gray eyes and was lost. I couldn't get out of the trance. Aaron and Rayden also stood there like deer's caught in front of headlights.  The guy quickly stood in front of the girls and that took me out of my trance. I growled lowly and tried stalking over to them but Aaron stopped me. He had a confused look on his face and I knew that I wasn't the only one having this affect. Rayden looked just as confused.

We walked over and Aaron talked in his Alpha tone.

"What are you doing here?" he growled lowly, not letting the humans know that something was going on. The guy looked scared but he held his ground. Bowing his head he replied.

"This isn't part of the Blue Moon territory so we thought it would be OK for us to come and have some fun." Aaron growled but the guy had a point. I stepped up an put a hand on Aaron's shoulder.

"Hey, he has a point." I said and Rayden spoke in too.

"They aren't giving us any harm so we should let them enjoy their time." He said nodding towards them. Aaron couldn't say anything about that either but his eyes stayed trained behind the guy and at girl in the flower top. She was really frightened while the other 2 girls tried calming her down. Guilt flashed over Aaron's face before he quickly hid it under a cold mask. He growled out,

"We're letting you go this time but I don't want to see you guys anywhere near our pack ever again." The guy nodded slowly.

"Yes Alpha." I was impressed. He knew how to respond and not anger Aaron further. On the other hand, the girl in the black was fuming and her friends were trying to calm her down. I smiled at her antics. Aaron nods but instead of turning around he continues to look at the girl in the flower top. I was getting curious about his behavior but didn't say anything.
I looked towards Rayden and he was staring intensely at the oddly dressed girl with pink hair. She, on the other hand, was completely disinterested with this whole encounter, but was giving all her attention to the pink cotton candy she was eating. After taking a huge bite she looked up at us, raising her eyebrow and tugged on the boy's sleeve. He turned around and looked at her for a moment and she nodded. He turned back around to face us

"We'll get out of your way now. We only plan on staying until tonight, we'll be spending the day here at the park and leave first thing tomorrow morning." The boy informed us of their plans and putting an arm around the pink haired girl he turned around to leave. Rayden honestly looked like he was about to murder everyone in this park as he watched the boy steal a piece of cotton candy from the girl. I looked back at the girl in black and she sent us a dirty glare while eating a churro. The guy stole half of it and her glare was pointed at him now. I felt a twinge when he laughed and she smiled at him. I wanted to be in that guys shoes so badly right now. Instead, I turned to Aaron.

"Hey, we should just let them be. They don't seem to be causing any trouble and they aren't staying here for long." He shook himself out of his trance and nodded

"Maybe we should follow them to make sure they won't make any trouble." Rayden suggested.
"No." Aaron replied too quickly. He cleared his throat before continuing "We shouldn't let them interrupt our fun."
Honestly, I wasn't sure who to agree with. Like Aaron, I wanted to have a stress free day out, but on the other hand, I also wanted to see the girl in the black again. I shrugged off my feelings and turned around, grabbing both Aaron's and Rayden's arms and running off, dragging them with me.

Sophia's POV:
Cotton candy is the absolute best thing ever created. But now I'm thinking about murder since Sean decided to steal some of my cotton candy. I glare at him as he playfully ruffled my hair.
He handed me all his cotton candy, making me forget that I was ever angry to begin with and he chuckled at me as I greedily reached out for the delicious treasure he held in his hand.
"Love you too Soph" he said with a cheeky grin. He then walks off towards J to get some of her Churro. I turn around to see the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack and his 2 friends retreating. I'm glad to know that Felix wasn't with us. If he were, then the Alpha wouldn't have let us go easily, knowing that our Alpha was here too. I sighed as I walked up and linked arms with J and Elle. Elle had freaked out because she thought they knew she was the Alpha's sister. We were able to calm her down but there was something weird. The Alpha wouldn't stop looking at her. I wonder why...
My thoughts then drifted to the Alpha's friend. I had pretended not to notice that one of them had been staring at me. The other one had been checking out J, and I could tell that she was fuming because of it. I almost burst out laughing at how easy it was to anger J; she could be so feisty sometimes.
Sean walked back to me, holding out a piece of his churro that he had managed to snag from Jia. I took a very large bite from it
"Hey!" He pouted. I chuckled in response, but said nothing since we were out in public. I don't speak, unless I'm very comfortable with the other person. And even then, I still tend to be quite shy. He ruffled my hair and ran off before I could get him back. As if on signal, the rest of us chased after him through the park, laughing our heads off like the bunch of weirdos that we are.
