Mates with the Enemy

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Rayden POV:

Running to our meeting spot I feel my wolf get really excited for some reason. I have never felt something like this before. Its compelling. I see Aaron running ahead of me. Poor guy, the girl he loves is not with him, but I believe that she found her mate. That is the only reason that makes sense for her to come here. I know this thought has crossed his mind but I just stay quiet hoping it is not true. Me and Damien on the other hand are starting to believe so. In a few minutes we reach our spot with Evelyn whining. When we reach there we can see from far three women with a child probably midwives taking care of a baby. However when we get close I can see how young the girls are. What attracts me is the girl with the pink hair. I remember suddenly who she is. The girls we met at the amusement park.

"Who are you?" Aaron asks. I look at him. He doesn't remember them. Or if he does, he's good at pretending not to. The girl in front of the others speaks up.

"We are normal pack mates. When we heard the commotion we started running, please don't hurt us" she pleads.

"Don't lie Jia, why don't you tell them the truth?" Evelyn speaks up.

"What is she talking about? Can somebody just tell us who the hell you are?" Damien says worried of Aaron's temper.

"Ha! These are no common villagers! That girl with the pink hair is the future Beta's sister," Evelyn says pointing at her. My eyes go wide. Aaron locks his jaw.

"That girl in front of the 2 is the strongest female warrior in the whole pack," she continues. Damien's jaw drops.

"And that with the baby in her arms is the Alpha's Daughter!" she exclaims. Aaron scrutinizes her and she just glares back at him. Evelyn still isn't finished.

"Oh, and you were wondering about Sarah right? She is the future Alpha's slutty mate and Michelle's his sister!" she yelled. Aaron spun around and slaps Evelyn on the face. He growls.

"Don't you dare call Sarah slutty! She's way better than your pathetic self!" He then turns around and glares at the 3 girls.

"Take these 3 girls," he says. "They are the perfect leverage to get Sarah back!" I look at Damien and we both look at him. Did he not hear that she has found her actual mate? Before I can say anything, Damien looks at me and shakes his head. I sigh and let it go for now. Aaron then looks at Evelyn.

"You leave and when your Alpha come back, tell him that if they give me Sarah back, he'll get his precious daughter and the other 2 back. NOW GO!" he yells. Evelyn struggles off the ground where she had fallen from Aaron's blow and runs away. He then turns back.

"For you three, you will be put in our prison until we get Sarah back." The girl with the baby speaks up.

"My brother will save us and not give you Sarah. He's capable of doing that." she hisses. Aaron's eyes flash but he doesn't say anything. The warriors grab the girls and shove them into the truck that they had called for to take them. Damien looks mad when one of the warriors smack the girl who Evelyn had called Jia. She won't stop struggling. She shouts profanities at their faces but they do nothing. Finally, when they're locked up, we get into the other car and drive back to our pack. I don't know what Aaron is planning on doing but I know it won't be good.

Felix POV:

When we get to the Eagle pack, there is no real threat. The wolves that had come had already left. I was quite confused. Suddenly my best warrior, James runs over. I had left him behind. What was he doing here?

"Alpha!" he yelled.

"What's wrong James. You have blood all over you!" I realized.

"While you were gone, the Blue Moon attacked us. They ruined all our crops. Many of our warriors are dead and some injured." I growled. This was their plan all along. I should have known it! Sarah tries calming me down. She looks scared and anxious. I look at her but she can't meet my eye.

"Sarah," I whisper. "What's wrong, honey?" She looks at me and tears pool her eyes.

"It's all my fault." she whispers. "I should have told you before." I look at her confused. She takes a deep breath and talks.

"Before I met you, I knew about werewolves. That's because my boyfriend was one. He was no one other then Aaron, the Alpha to be of the Blue Moon Pack. I was supposed to become his mate after I turned seventeen. Problem was, the day i turned, I met you and you were my mate. I wasn't going to leave you for someone who wasn't my mate. I didn't tell Aaron that I was leaving and I think he thinks you kidnapped me. I'm sooo sorry Felix! Believe me if I knew this would happen I would have done something about it!" She sobs. I believe her. Sarah isn't capable of doing something like that. I stroke her hair.

"It's okay, Sarah. We'll fix this. Let's go back to the pack house and see what happened. We'll fix this damage and I'll talk to Aaron myself." She looked at me and nodded, smiling. I kissed her lips and then turned into my wolf form. I mind linked dad and the other warriors of the situation. We all ran back, Sarah on my back.

When we got there, Evelyn ran over to me. She was covered in mud and was sobbing,

"Alpha, Felix, the Blue Moon's Alpha took me and told me to tell you something." Sean came up to me and put his hand on my shoulder, reassuringly.

"They, t-took, some girls with them, as leverage." Evelyn said. She looked nervous. I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Who?" I asked. She visibly gulped.

"Aah... Michelle, Jia and Sophia." She whispered lowly that if I didn't have wolf hearing, I wouldn't have heard her. Pure rage filled my body and I started shaking. Sean's reassuring hand also slipped from my shoulder and he growled menacingly.

"HOW DARE THEY TAKE THEM!!!" I yelled, my wolf trying to take over. My sister! Why her! this wasn't possible. The Blue Moon Pack had gone too far. I was about to shift into my wolf when Sarah put a hand on my back, calming me down a bit. She looked at me, shaking her head.

"Calm down Felix," she whispers. "You won't be able to do anything by getting mad. What we need is a plan." She's right. Being irrational won't do anything. I turn around to look at Sean who is trying to control himself. Soph is the only person he has left. Their parents died a few years ago and Sean' only living line is her. I walk over to him and pat him on the back. 

"They'll pay for this." I tell him. "We'll get them back." Sean looks at me and calms down nodding. I stand back up and look at my Dad and Mom. Mom is crying hysterically. J and Soph were like her daughters too. I mind link Dad.

We need to think rationally. Let's go and come up with a plan. We're saving them no matter what.

Dad looks at me and nods. I turn around and look at all my warriors.

"The Blue Moon Pack has started war by taking 3 of our most precious girls." I say "They are going to pay, even if it means we go to war. I need every warrior here to be loyal the whole time. Who is up to saving them!" I yell. All the warriors raise their fists in the air yelling words of agreement. I smile and turn around walking to my office. I tell Sean to start the warrior training and Dad and I go to the office to make plans.
