Damien's POV

After finally getting the girls into the truck, one of the pack members sedated them so they wouldn't try escaping or giving us anymore problems. The baby thankfully stopped crying a little while ago and is now peacefully asleep. For some reason, I just couldn't take my eyes off the girl they called Jia, something about her just intrigued me. Rayden has raised his eyebrow when he caught me staring at the beginning of the ride but I told him it was just for extra safety precautions.
We reached the pack house pretty fast and immediately took the girls to our interrogation rooms in the basement. We separated them into three different rooms just to make sure they couldn't escape and handcuffed them to the large metal tables in the middle of the rooms. Rayden left one hand free for the girl with the baby so she could hold the child properly. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't help taking one last glance at Jia before leaving her.

Aaron's POV
I'm gonna get Sarah back. No matter what. I just know deep down in my heart that she would never willingly leave me. Not after how close we had gotten. I know that we loved each other, and that's not something you can just put aside and forget.
Now that I had leverage, it wouldn't be long before she was mine again. The alpha from the Midnight pack was soft and lovey dovey, so there was no way he would abandon his own daughter and two of his best pack mates for a human girl, no matter how much she was worth.
I might as well get some sleep now that I have less stuff to stress over. I'll be able to interrogate the girls tomorrow morning once the sedatives wear off.

*******

I woke up bright and early, at 6:00 am. This is the time our pack usually wakes up so as I made my way down to the basement, Damien and Rayden joining me. We didn't immediately enter the rooms, but instead went into a separate room where we had televisions set up to the small cameras that were hidden inside the rooms. I checked on the girls, and surprisingly one was already awake. The pink haired one. The future beta's sister if I remember correctly.
We walked into the room where she sat upright behind the metal desk. She seemed unfazed and quite bored with her predicament.
"Let's just begin with the questioning immediately." I announced, approaching the table. "We'll start off simple, what's your name?" I asked
Instead of replying, she held up her hand and did some hand signals. Feeling confused I glanced back at Rayden and Damien only to find that they were just as clueless as I was. I turned back around and raised a questioning eyebrow at her, which she replied with by rolling her eyes and opening her mouth wide before gesturing inside.
"Oh! It's like charades!" Rayden cried out. "You can't speak!" He guessed. She nodded but then shook her head and redid the sign.
"Uhm, there's something in your throat!" He cried, she shook her head and did it again
"You bit your tongue!"
"Your throat is sore!"
"You have bronchitis!"
He kept on guessing and she kept shaking her head and redoing the sign. After a while she threw her hands up in frustration and banged her head on the table repeatedly.
"Just shut up idiot!" I yelled at Rayden who still kept guessing, "go get her a piece of paper or something to write on." I said turning to Damien. He left the room and quickly came back with a notebook and pen. He placed it on the table and she stopped banging her head. She picked up the pen and scribbled something down on the paper
I'm hungry.
"I was just about to guess that." Rayden quietly whined. I rolled my eyes at her.
"No food until you answer our questions. Now what's your name?" She frowned at me and started sketching on the notepad. She drew a plate of cookies, and then moved onto a bowl of ramen.
"Fine!" I growled at her before turning to Damien, "go bring her a sandwich or something!" I said exasperatedly. She was starting to get on my nerves and I knew she knew this by the way the corners of her mouth turned upward in a slight smirk
She continued sketching until Damien brought in a sandwich which made her drop her pen and grin very widely. She took the plate happily and munched on her sandwich.
After she had finished just about half, Damien spoke up and broke the silence. "Why don't you speak, are you like mute or something?" Rayden gasped dramatically at this as her smile morphed into a frown and she stopped chewing
"Dude! That's offensive! You can't just ask someone that!" He cried out. She slowly reached for the pen and notebook and took her time in writing something down.
None of your business.
She glared at him as she continued to angrily chomp on her sandwich. Once she had finished I asked her the same question I had asked earlier again
"What's your name?" She picked up her pen and wrote down her reply
How is knowing my name going to help you? Ugh. Why does she have to be so difficult?
"Fine. If you don't want to answer my questions then I'll just ask the other two. When do they wake up?" She tried to hold back a giggle, but failed and burst out laughing.
Wait a couple hours. They'll probably wake up after lunch time.
She scrawled down on the notebook.

*******

It was finally after lunch so we went back to go check and see if they had woken up or not. The pink haired one was quietly sketching things on the notebook, completely satisfied with her situation. I found this kinda odd, shouldn't she be a little scared since she was just kidnapped? I checked the security cameras and the second girl was starting to stir a bit.
She lifted her head up and yawned once before taking in her surroundings.
"Let's go." I said to Rayden and Damien as I walked out to her room. Once we reached the door we heard a bunch of clanking and a series of thuds. She's probably trying to escape. I scoffed at the idea because there was no way she'd be able to get out of our chains. I slammed the door open, only to be met with her intense glare
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" She yelled along with a string of profanities and curses. She struggled hard against the metal handcuffs on her wrists, but to no avail. I smirked at her futile attempts.
"There's no way you're getting out of here, so stop resisting." I said in a calm but menacing tone. She growled at us, still trying to slip out of the handcuffs.
"Whatever it is that you want from me, you won't be getting." She sneered at us.
"I am not a patient person. So do not test my limits." I replied harshly, "I will get what I want, and you will not stop me."
"If it's Sarah you want, then too bad. She's much happier living with us then she ever was with you!" She cried out.
"Shut up before I knock that stupid grin off your face!" Damien yelled. I looked at him. He seemed a little conflicted. I raised an eyebrow at him but he didn't look my way, seething at the girl. I looked back at her. She wasn't going to say anything, that was for sure. I looked at her once more and then turned around walking out, Rayden following behind me. Damien stood there for a second glaring at the girl, who glared back at him, and then spun around following us.

I walked towards the cameras to see if the girl with the baby had woken up yet. I watched the screen and saw her stir a bit. My heart jumped as I saw her look around cradling the child. Was that her child? My wolf growled, mad at the fact that this girl had a child. I frowned, confused at my wolf's reaction. Why was he so worked up about something as trivial as that?

We walked in and she sat up, fear evident in her eyes.
"Where's J and Soph?!" She cried out, worriedly, "I swear, if you guys have touched a single hair on their heads then I will personally destroy you!" She threatened. The baby softened the threat, it's hard to seem menacing when you have a cute baby peacefully sleeping in your arms.
She had referred to the other girls as J and Soph, so that's probably what their names were. I don't get why they were so against me knowing when I was going to find out anyways.
"The other girls are fine. The pink haired one is having the time of her life right now for some reason, and the tough one is screaming out curses." The corners of her mouth curved upwards in a very slight smile.
"Soph's probably the one having fun and J is probably angry right now." she whispered to herself. Now I know who is who.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Michelle." she stated blandly with a shrug.
"and the child?" I inquired. She looked down fondly at the little baby
"Emerald" she replied softly so as not to wake her.

I don't think it's a good idea to keep the baby in this room. We should let her stay with a nursing mother or something for the time being. This room isn't suitable for a baby. Damien mind linked to me
We can't separate them! That's a newborn baby! She has to stay with her mother!! Rayden cried
They started bickering through mind link and I sent them a chilling glare to shut them up.
The baby can stay here but we'll bring in a crib for it to sleep in. I replied, merging their ideas together.

"How long are you going to keep us here?" Michelle asked, interrupting our silent conversation
"Until I get my Sarah back." I said coldly before turning around to leave the room
"You won't." She called out, stopping me in my tracks just before I had reached the door.
"I won't what?" I asked looking at her. A piece of hair fell over her eye and I badly wanted to brush it away. What was wrong with me?!?! She looked at me and glared.
"You won't get Sarah back. She's my brother's mate." She stated coldly.
"I don't care whose mate she is. I get what I want when I want it. And as of this moment, I want her." I replied gruffly before stomping out.
