Felix's POV:

After we finally got into the park and payed for our day passes I ran off to go find a bathroom. We went on a few rides before it was unbearable and I couldn't stand it anymore. Elle laughed at me for having such a weak bladder but I just ignored her.

That's what you get for not doing your business before you leave the motel. My bladder almost exploded during that mega line up, and it was only getting worse right now because I have no idea where this stupid bathroom is. I finally find the sign that leads to the bathroom and reach my destination. I quickly relieve myself and wash my hands. For some reason my wolf is on edge. He won't stop pacing around in my mind and whining every now and then. I shrug it off and walk out the door. As soon as I do, I bump into someone and sparks explode all around me. I grab a hold of her before she falls and stare into deep chocolate brown eyes. The girls eyes widen and only one word comes out of my mouth.

"Mate."

Sarah's POV:

"Mate." That word brings me out of my stupor as I try not to notice the sparks I feel. I stare into deep blue eyes and know right away that this is my mate. I am totally screwed. Being a human, I never thought that I'd actually have a mate. Aaron is awesome and all but I never really felt that connection with him as I am feeling right now with this guy, and I've only known him for a few seconds. I notice that he's holding me and quickly scramble out of his grasp. He frowns and then sniffs the air. Realization dawns on him and I think he knows I'm not a wolf.
"I'm Felix" he nervously scratched the back of his neck
"Uhm," I started out off pitch and cleared my throat before continuing "I'm Sarah"
I was pretty socially awkward, the only reason I actually had friends was because I found out Aaron's secret but promised not to tell anyone. He had immediately taken a liking to me after that and introduced me to his other friends.
"Pardon the cheesy pickup line, but I think you look Gouda" he said with a cheeky grin. I burst out laughing, I hadn't heard a pickup line that bad in a long time
"Has that ever worked for you?" I replied sarcastically. He smiled at the thought that he was able to get me to laugh
"Not really, but hopefully it will this time." He replied.
"What makes you think it wouldn't work?" I wouldn't entirely say that pickup line worked on me, but it was pretty fun to laugh at. Something about Felix just made me feel relaxed and calm, even though I had only known him for a few minutes.
"If that actually worked for you, then that's just sad." I raised my eyebrow at him, it isn't right to judge people because of their reaction to pickup lines. He chuckled lightly at my reaction
"It's sad because I wouldn't get to use the next one."
"Next one?" I inquired
"Are you a thief? Because you can only get a face like that if you stole it from an angel" I couldn't hold back my giggles after that one
"That was terrible." I said in between giggles. He agreed with me and laughed along.
"Listen to this one," I said after we had finished laughing "Are you the sun? Because close proximity to something this hot should be considered dangerous."
We burst out laughing at our horrible pickup lines, but I couldn't shake off the slight feeling of guilt in the back of my head.
I shouldn't be having a wonderful carefree time right now, because there's a lot on my mind that I'm supposed to be worrying about.
My dad lost his job yesterday. And since we were already in debt from my mom's gambling problems, I'm gonna have to find myself a steady paying job very soon. I really don't want to be dealing with the loan sharks anytime soon, they're already quite angry that my mom keeps borrowing but never repaying.
I didn't want to tell any of my friends this, because then they would've cancelled our day trip and tried to give my family money. But I don't want their pity. I can deal with this on my own.
"Something bugging you?" Felix asked, breaking through my thoughts. I almost forgot he was there for a moment. I didn't want to burden him with my irrelevant problems, but something about him made me want to open up and spill all of my secrets. Must be the mate bond already working it's charm...
"Nothing important.." I shrugged it off, but he didn't look convinced. "Fine. My dad lost his job and my mom has a gambling problem. We might lose the house because we used it as collateral for some loan sharks. I know I shouldn't be out here having fun, but I don't want my friends to worry about me either." I blurted out. He placed a comforting hand on my shoulder
"Don't worry, Sarah. It will get better." He smiled softly at me. Suddenly, his eyes lit up and I could practically see the idea pop into his head
"Hey! I know what you could do!" He bounced in excitement "my dad's company has an open spot for a managing position! How about I speak to him and find out if we can get your dad to fill that spot?"
"Oh my god really? That's amazing! Thank you so much!" I could honestly hug him right now, but I refrained and smiled very widely instead. I barely knew him for ten minutes, but he had already solved my biggest problem.
"Here, I'll give you my number and we can talk about it later on." He said holding out his phone for me. I put in my contact and he did the same for my phone.
"I'd really love to chat some more, but I should get back to my friends.." he said looking off in the distance. I felt the same way. We said goodbye and I waved him off, but before he could leave I grabbed his shoulder. I leaned in close to his ear before I whispered the next sentence
"I know you're a werewolf" his eyes widened in surprise but before he could respond I sprinted off into the crowd.

Felix's POV:
She was gone. I tried to sniff her scent out, but there were too many people surrounding us. I thought back to what she had said
"I know you're a werewolf." That's pretty weird. She was a regular human, she shouldn't have known about my kind. But then again, when I originally caught a whiff of her scent I knew something was off. She had a very slight werewolf smell to her.
I shrugged it off and left the spot where I had been standing stupefiedly before. I should be happy that I've finally found my mate. And I was also able to get her phone number too. What I couldn't shake off was this feeling that something bad was going to happen. I was so lost on my thoughts that I screamed in surprise when someone jumped onto my back.
"BOO!" Elle yelled and started giggling. I almost stumbled to the ground due to her sudden jump.
"MICHELLE GRACE MIDNIGHT!" I yelled at her. Sean, Sophia, and J are right behind her and laughing their heads off. Elle jumps off and starts running away and I chase after her, growling playfully. Maybe coming here today wasn't as bad of an idea as I thought it was. I wouldn't have been having this much fun right now if it weren't for Elle's idea. Plus I wouldn't have met my mate. That thought brings a smile to my face and I continue chasing Elle, the rest running behind us laughing.

Sarah's POV:

I find Aaron and his friends all standing by a ride but they look deep in thought. Aaron looks mad and very unhappy. I think about telling him about Felix and our strange encounter, but then I think about how bad Aaron's temper is and I stay quiet. The rest of the day goes very quietly and soon its time we leave for home.
