Chapter 22: Rumours & Disappearance

"Hey guys!" I turn my head to see Selena walking our way, with another girl. Me, Cat and El, decided to go shopping today. They thought it would be good for me to go out. To keep my mind off things. They also said I needed new clothes for tonight's show. I was still really scared about seeing Chris, but I honestly had no choice.

"Oh, hey!" I give her a fake smile. She still doesn't know that I know she was planning something. Her friend looks at me up and down. She has this look, that says 'you look familiar'. She is pretty though, tan, long brown curly hair, with blue piercing eyes. She wears white short shorts, with a neon pink top.

"This is Jess.. Jess, this is Vic, El and Cat." Selena introduces us.

"You look very familiar..." Jess says to me.

"Um really?" I look at El and then at Cat.

"She's dating Louis." Selena says. She's silent for a few moments.

"....You were in one of the magazines I read!" She finally says.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yes... Let me see if I still have it." She grabs her bag and opens it. She takes out a magazine and hands it to me. On the cover, there's pictures of... Me and Liam at Disney, he's holding my hand on this picture. Next to that picture, is a picture of Justin kissing my cheek at the hotel and under that picture is of me and Louis kissing at the park, on our first date. The headline says, 'Who is she really with? And is she cheating on him?'. My eyes widen in horror. These pictures were taken randomly. Just friendly gestures. Well except for the one with Louis.

"Wow, Vic... You're cheating on Louis?" Selena asks.

"NO!" I yell out at her. She looks startled. I give back the magazine to Jess and I walk away. El and Cat follow.

"We need to go back to Liam's flat... He'll know what to do." El says. I nod. She grabs hold of one of my hands and Cat does the same.

We get to Liam's apartment and he's talking with Justin, in the kitchen. Harry and Louis are on the couch, watching a movie. When Liam spots me, he waves me over. I walk to him. El and Cat go see their boyfriends.

"We got a problem." Liam whispers to me.

"I think I already know what it is." I frown. He picks up a bunch of magazines and shows them to me, one after the other. It's mostly pictures of me and Liam, me and Justin and then there's me and Louis.

"And then there's this picture that came out this morning... Which I have no idea when this was taken." Justin walks towards me and showing me his phone. It's a picture of me and Zayn a couple weeks back. He's holding my hand and kissing the top of my head and I have a huge smile on my face. This was taken when we were on our shopping trip a few weeks ago, just him and me.

"But that doesn't mean we're dating!.... What does the headline and description say on that picture?" I breathe in and then exhale. Justin starts reading out loud, in a whisper.

"The headline reads, 'She's at it again' and the description says 'Famous pop sensation, One Direction's, Zayn Malik, was seen with tour mate, Victoria Baker, supposedly shopping. A reliable source tells us that Zayn has gotten dumped by his girlfriend recently.. Our readers are questioning if these two are dating, and we will find out soon. But we've seen a bunch of other pictures, where Baker has been real close with other tour mates like Louis Tomlinson, Justin Bieber and Liam Payne.... Is Niall Horan next? Or is it Harry Styles?" Justin finishes reading. I'm too shocked. This article is apparently trending on Twitter.
