Hey guys im back, like it or not. Hehehe n_n Here's the next chapter. Leave a like or comment if you liked it. It helps out a lot. Also this chapter is longer than most so I hope that's a plus.

Arlene opened the door to what looked like a bar. The stench of alcohol filling in their nostrils. Laurel made a foul look before being pushed inside by John. He shut the door quickly to ward of their pursuers.

The people paid no attention to the troubled teens. Instead the men and woman laughed idly, drinking away whatever was left of them. John kept Laurel and Arlene close beside him. Aware of the men ogling at his friends. Fatigued and aching a place to sit, John wasn't one to mess with at a state like this.

Laurel composed her breath, Arlene trembling locked hands with Laurel. The safety of her friends made her a little off edge if only a little. Whatever trouble she got herself into with their pursuers, Laurel and John blamed themselves for it.

John lead the girls to a table in back of the bar. A few feet away from where all the ruckus was. Laurel comforted Arlene, letting her rest her head on her shoulder as Laurel wrapped an arm around her. All the shock faded from Arlene's bones as she let out all her shock. John balled his hands in fists, his knuckles turning a pasty white.

"Its OK, your OK. Were here with you. Were safe now." Laurel cooed.

Arlene merely paid attention. Replaying the horror that happened a while back. It took all of her energy to shut it out. She grasped Laurels hand, needing something real to keep her steady.

"For how long will we'll be safe?"John  said harshly, "its all my fault, if I was there to protect her none of this would've happened."

" You can't blame yourself for the mess were in. You won't always be there to look out for us but we will get through this together." Laurel said, trying to calm him down but he wouldn't have it.

"The hell I will, if anything would happen to you both I don't know what I'll do. We have to get out of here before we're in real danger."

"We h-have to call..my parents. They c-can help..us." Arlene struggled to keep her voice steady.

Her suggestion was a good idea. It was an idea that sunk right in the pit of both John and Laurels stomachs. They haven't told her about the time era. About being in Boston with the revolution not to far away to witness.

"Arlene, there's something that we need to tell you" Laurel confessed as Arlene looked at her curiously.

"What are you doing?" John spat.

"We have to tell her, there's no point in hiding it now."

"Tell me..what?" Arlene asked.

Laurel sighed, "We're not in Texas, were not in the same year either."

Her confession puzzled Arlene, making her wonder of not enough sleep has made her delusional.

"She's right," John agreed, finally letting the cat out of the bag, "after seeing so much transaction between our time periods, as crazy as it sounds, we realized were back in the era of the American Revolution."

Arlene sat up right in her chair, backing away from her friends who she thought were out of their minds. It didn't make sense to her, the people wore costumes just like her, they joked in those ridiculous accents, even the animals roamed free.

"No, ya'll are joking." Arlene blinked, "This- no, this is stupid. Ya'll have to be pulling my leg or something."

Only, she concluded, after her incident with muggers, security or cops weren't there to stop them. There wasn't an authority figure to step in the way. What if they were telling the truth? Arlene stood up from the chair, her face a mask , fighting both sides to choose.
