Another song for this chapter.
Song: Borns -Past Lives

I was more than surprised when she pointed that gun in my face. At that moment, I gave up on life. At least, I wanted to die earlier until that new friend at the bar changed my mind. Maybe, Ahneeka, the annoying bitch, was doing me a favour. But, I couldn't die now. I still had dreams that I hadn't achieved plus I still loved my mum and my dad.

How would they react to my death. Funny how at that moment I thought of how my burial ceremony would be. Nahh, I don't think I really admire that flower thingy. Oh well, all I figured at that point was that I wasn't even ready to die so I said quickly. "Ahneeka please don't."

She began to cry again. "You snatched him...."

Adrenaline rushed through every part of my body as I realized that she could kill me anytime from now. My voice was quick. "Please don't do this. It's not necessary." It felt like the words were coming out faster than my brain could process. Though, it made a whole lot of sense.

She closed her eyes tightly and I looked around for what could help me. There was nothing I could hit her with. I had one option but to miss the bullet. Is that even possible?

They say light travels faster than sound. Oh shit! I heard that gunshot and fell on my arm to the ground.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain on my left arm. I touched that arm and brought my palm to my face looking at my own blood. For real. Like howww? I was positive that I missed that bullet but why was there blood and so much pain?

I looked up at her and figured that she hadn't noticed that she missed.

Her eyes were still closed as she knelt down and began to cry hard. She screamed out loud like she wanted to kill herself too. I needed to strike at this moment when she wasn't aware that I was still alive. I couldn't believe that I had just missed a bullet. Wow. Like wowww!

I came out of that euphoria and thought for a while. I stood up as quietly as I could enduring all the pain from my left arm.

My eyes went to the baseball bat behind the door. How did I not think of that earlier? I reached for it and rushed towards her hitting her hard that she lost grip of the gun and fell to the ground.

I picked up the gun but she recovered earlier than I expected. She hit my leg making me fall to the ground and hitting my head hard on the floor.

"You bitch! I thought I had ended you!" She screamed out struggling to get the gun but I tossed it far away from both of us. I couldn't kill her and she couldn't kill me so no one should be with the gun.

"Fuck!" She screamed again.

"Ahneeka let's not do this. Please." I was already begging. Like a robot, she stood up and went straight for the gun. I held her leg back to make her fall instead, she hit my face with her foot.

"Ouch." I said in pain. If I was prepared for this it would have been easier for me but this just happened too fast. Before I could do any other thing, she pointed the gun to my face. Oh shit.

"I.... I don't know how you...managed to escape but this time, you can't even try to escape."

I laughed. "I can't believe you want to kill me because of an asshole."

"Nothing's funny. You have to die sad."

I shook my head. "I'm bleeding. Isn't that enough already?"

"I need you gone bitch."

"Have you thought about the consequences?"

"I have. But I don't care." This conversation wasn't going anywhere cause she would still kill me at the end of everything.

I closed my eyes. "Then do it. Just do it."

I waited patiently for her to pull the trigger but there was nothing. I opened my eyes and saw her looking out of the door. I turned to see what had caught her attention and saved my life.

I saw Trevor standing there expressionless with his hands in his pockets. He looked so hot at that moment but I couldn't admit it cause I was really angry with him.

Surprise was written all over Isa's face who was holding his hand.

He was looking straight into Ahneeka's eyes. It was like they were conversing with their eyes cause she slowly dropped the gun on the floor beside her and broke into tears.

"You're bleeding." Isa said to me and rushed towards me. Ahneeka didn't even hit her for touching me.

"I'll go get something to cater your wounds." She ran inside and he spoke.

"Get up." There was so much authority in his voice. Ahneeka stood up to her feet still crying. I didn't know when tears dropped from my eyes also.

He entered into the house and knelt down where I was looking into my eyes. I saw something that I had never seen in my life. I couldn't explain it but all I knew was that he could die if I didn't miss that bullet.

He inspected my arm and he released a breath of relief. " The bullet brushed your arm."

"Trevor...." Ahneeka said.

"Don't dare call my name! Are you this sick?" He raised his voice in anger. She stepped back in silence.

"The police will soon be here." Isa said rushing to clean my wound. I smiled at her.

Suddenly, I began to see nothing and I felt like I was going into a deep sleep. I prayed I'll wake up after this sleep cause it felt like I wouldn't at all. Obviously, this was because I had lost a lot of blood.

I struggled to open my eyes and saw Isa trying to carry me. I checked to see Trevor talking to Ahneeka. More like he was shouting. I closed my eyes slowly and was grateful to God for rescuing me from Ahneeka.

I opened my eyes again and this time, it was him that was lifting me up from the floor. Isa couldn't carry me. What? I thought I wasn't heavy. I liked the fact that he carried me but I was still pissed at him. I doubt if I'll ever forgive him.
