FOURTY TWO

Seasons greetings guys! I hope you're having a swell time with your family and everyone. Don't forget my gifts though lol.

My parents told me that I was in a deep sleep for three days. I told them everything but they couldn't believe all what i said. They explained how Trevor slept in the guest room always checking on me. They told me how he helped mum in the kitchen and dad with some things. He was already accepted in the family and mum really wanted us to get married.
I listened to everything they said and told them that Trevor and I won't work. My mum tried to convince me into forgiving him but I couldn't even consider anything. She even got me pissed cause she didn't even care of how I felt. How I was used and played. I couldn't take it anymore so I went to visit my newly found friend at the bar.
I got into the bar and was welcomed with a bright smile on his face. I rolled my eyes.
"Stop that. Totally weird." I took my time to take in my environment. We were the only ones in the bar.
He chuckled for a while. "I expected you to be back."
"Yh. Same here. I just love your company." I sat in front of the counter where he stood.

"What will you love to drink?"
"Uhh....I've got no cash here with me."
"Come on. Everything's free here for you."
I smiled at him. That was a pleasant offer but I wasn't sure if I was interested in drinking anything.

"Thanks but I'll pass."
"Anytime you're thirsty. Let me know."

The door opened and someone walked inside the bar. I was backing the door so I didn't know who it was. Honestly, that's the first customer I've met since I've known this bar.
"Do you even have customers?" I asked him.

"Not at all. He's the first I'm having this week. Gotta close down this bar and do something else." He said nodding at his customer. I turned to see who it was and it was Brad. We looked at each other for a short while and I turned back to my friend.

"Do you know him?"
"Yeah. I'll take my leave now I guess."
"Wait......" I stood up quickly and found my way to the exit. I walked out of the bar and I felt my hand being dragged back turning me around.

"What is it Brad?" I stared into his eyes with disdain.
"Hey, if looks could kill. I'll probably be dead by now."
"Good so leave me alone." I tried to let my hand ou of his tight grip.
"Woah, you have no idea how I'm really surprised to see you in my street. I heard you were shot but I couldn't get your address from either Trevor or David. They're really in a mess right now."

I rolled my eyes. "That's none of my business."
He heaved. "Well, what are you doing here?"
"Came to see my friend."
Surprise was written all over his face. "Wait that guy in there is your friend? Please advise him to shut down that bar."

I wanted to laugh but I couldn't. "Ugh Brad. Can you let go?" I looked at my hand and he let me go.
"I'm sorry. I was just concerned. How are you doing now?"
"I'm fine plus, I was wasn't shot. The bullet just bruised my arm."
"Now that's why you weren't rushed to the hospital. That bitch Ahneeka, I'm glad she's where she is now."

"What?" I was interested.
"She's in jail. After that incident, Isabella was stabbed by Ahneeka but she didn't die. The police came at the right time and she was rushed to the hospital. Isa is one strong fighter like you are."

I was shocked. "What the.....why did she do that?"
"Ahneeka's madly sick. She couldn't kill you so she tried Isa. That was a really sad thing."
"Oh my God." I was really surprised. I didn't know that Ahneeka's sickness was at this level. I actually thought that she won't shoot me when she held that gun to my face but she actually did pull that trigger.

"Well my friends are really down right now."
"You all deserve to be down!" I said harshly. I didn't even understand why Trevor was sad cause he never liked me or was he just saying all those out of anger.
"I'm really sorry Pearl. Please."
I looked at him for a while and he continued. "My friends are also really sorry. Yunno we'll like to meet you tomorrow. All of us. We're gonna apologize to you in person and in all sincerity."
I laughed. "We're doing the ten year old style now, yeah?"
"Look I don't care if it's childish or really matured but you really deserve that apology. I'm so sorry that that's the only thing we can do for you cause we can't take those actions back. Only if we could rewind time by ourselves. Yunno, have super powers."

I smiled. "I'd really use that super power right now."
He chuckled lightly. "To wipe us all out for messing with you."
"Sure thing." We both laughed and he cupped my face in his hands.

"We were very wrong for doing that to you or any other girl. Fuck brotherhood. That was some nasty shit that we did. Meet us at Temples street by noon tomorrow. I hope you'll be there."

I took in a deep breath. Should I meet them up there? My phone began to ring and I checked to see that it was Janie. I turned to him. "I'll think about it." I removed my head from his palms but he dragged me back and hugged me tightly.

"I'm really sorry. I could say that word more than a thousand times but it'll only matter if you actually know how sincere I am."

I didn't know if he was sincere or not. I wasn't even meant to be hugging him at that moment. I broke out of the hug and stared into his eyes with tears welling up strongly in my eyes. I looked away.

"I'll think about meeting you guys tomorrow. I'll give you a call if I'm down." I said and began to walk away.

"I'll be expecting that call!" He shouted from behind me.
