I gave Janie a tight hug when we got into the house.
"I've missed you." She said with a grin as she pecked my left cheek.

"Same here."

Trevor left not long after my mom did. I even forgot to ask him where he was going but I was glad that I didn't. What am I? His mom or something? That'll be so possessive.

"I'm starving." I said placing my hand on my tummy and she blushed. "Awww I cooked something."
"That's good news. Though, I just ate at Trevor's."
She sat on the couch. "So uhm you two are something now?"

I nodded and she stood up and hugged me again. Aren't we a thing yet?

"I'm so happy for you two. How about Ahneeka?"
I rolled my eyes. "Oh pleaseee, she's history."
"Ouuu."
"Yh babe. So, let's forget about her existence. Okay, how about kelvin. Are you guys cool now?"

Immediately, her mood changed and she looked at the floor. "No...." she broke into tears. I then joined her on the sofa and comforted her. "Janie it'll be okay. Has he called?"

She began to cry some more. Oh why did I ask that?
"He hasn't since that Collins incident. He doesn't even care......" she stopped to catch her breath and continued "worse is he's not even returning my calls." She groaned and I heaved.

"Look Janie, I'm sure he still cares. He's just really angry."
"Dude, he has never behaved this way like never. He didn't even like my picture on Instagram."
"Oh shit. That's really crazy."
She buried her face in my shoulder and I patted her head. "B, it's gonna be alright. I'll just phone him okay? So just get your shit together as I get you food."

She nodded like a 5 year old and I went straight to the kitchen to serve her food then, I got a text from David. I rolled my eyes and opened it.

**hey sunshine. So Jake's throwing a party tonight. I need you to come through.**

"Definitely no." I said out loud.
"What's that." Janie's teary voice asked.

"Uhh Jake's throwing a party tonight."
"Good. Cheering up alert."
I shook my head. "I was about to reply a 'I'm sorry, I can't make it."
"Are you crazy?" She asked.
"I'm not." I responded.
"Then don't type that shit. We're going for the party."
"What? No. What if kelvin's present?"
"Then fuck it. No one cares." Wow. She could say this after weeping five seconds ago.

I shook my head. "Cmon David will be there."

"And so will his other friends. So, you'll tell all of them who you've chosen. Cause they really have to know."
I thought for a second. "Janie, this is really crazy."
"No it's not. You've got to tell them the truth tonight."

What Janie said made sense and I was going to take it. Yep! I was gonna tell them everything. It'll be rough but I don't care. They'll get over it someday. Now, I've got better things to think about, my outfit.

I got out my phone and dialed kelvin's number when I entered the room. At least, Janie wouldn't listen to our conversation from here only if she put her ear against the door. Oh well. It rang three times before he picked. "Hey." I said.

"You're calling cause of her right?"

I closed my eyes in disappointment for a very short while. So, this dude knows all what he has been doing to my friend. "Why haven't you said a word to her?"

"Look I don't wanna talk about...."

"Why? She's broken and sad like she doesn't deserve any of this."

"Deserve?" He chuckled and kept on. "So who deserves any of this shit?"

I rolled my eyes. "Kel...."

"She fucking walked ahead of us to flirt with that bastard!"

"We're not sure of that. It's possible he just bumped into her."

"Damn. I'm sorry but I'm gonna cut the call on you."
"You're not trying that....." he cut the call. That idiot hanged up on me. I dropped the phone on the table with annoyance. No one hangs up on me. It's either I do or no one does. I was just starting to like him and this was the best he could do to maintain a cool relationship with me. "Ugghh!"

I sat on the bed and calmed myself down. I had other things to do instead of reminiscing on what kelvin just did. My outfit. Yep, my outfit. I got into my box and searched for an appropriate outfit and then I found one. A pretty short black gown. This was perfect.

I laid on the bed thinking of everything that has happened this whole time that I met these guys. It was funny how alot has happened in my life. I was that girl that got no attention from the boys I always wanted but here I am. Dating my dream boy, I let out a small laugh and then Janie tapped my shoulder.
"What you thinking about? We're almost there and I need some vibe."
My eyes fell on her thin fingers on the wheels. "Vibe?"

"Yeah. I'm positive that I'll see kelvin there so I need something that'll take my mind off him....for a while though." She was carefully driving this time. I didn't understand how. She borrowed the neighbor's car though I wasn't so supportive on that idea.

"Okay uhm.....vibe." I said thinking of what exactly to do. She slapped her forehead with her hand.

"You're slacking bitch."

"Well I don't know what you want me to do."

"Shutup." She increased the volume of the music that was playing in the background and like a spirit or something just suddenly possessed us, we began to scream to the music. Lol, so much for vibe.

We got to our destination and got out of the car quickly and blended with the crowd that were partying already. It was a pool party. So not expected. David would have added that honestly.

Well, my black gown still matched the environment, I thought as we danced together. I didn't feel like drinking like always. That was new. Janie was really happy. She had forgotten what was disturbing her at first or maybe she acted it. Oh well.

I was dragged out of the dance floor by someone and when I checked who it was, I wasn't so impressed.
"You made it. Wowww you look amazing!"
I smiled at him. "Thanks David. Didn't know it was a pool party though."

"Oh sorry about that. Didn't mention that earlier."
"It's fine though." I looked around trying to keep myself distracted. Should I tell him about Trevor and I now? Yep.
"Ugh..."
"Have you gotten any drink?"
I looked at his blue eyes. Or maybe not.
"I haven't. Just blended with the music when I got here."

"Come on." He held my hand and I looked at his hand on mine. "Is it okay?" He asked. Maybe he had noticed.
"Sure."
"Alcohol?"
"Damn yes." We walked to where the red cups were placed on a table. He handed a cup to me and I collected it gulping everything at once. When I had finished, I noticed he was watching me and I hit his shoulder. "Even if you wanted to stare, you would have done it with some pride."

He chuckled and tightened his grip on my hand. "When it comes to you, there's no pride."
Awww, the smile on his face was so romantic. I took a deep breath cause I was about to say it. Yeah, I was gonna say it now and then I felt someone pull my hair.

I turned and saw Trevor. Oh no. His eyes were on our hands. This wasn't how I wanted to break the news to David. Oh shit.
