I woke up to my cellphone ringing and looked at my alarm clock which said 2am. I groaned answering the evil blaring device, "What the hell?"

"Good morning! I'm just calling to let you know that our flight leaves in approximately four hours. I wanted to make sure you had adequate time to pack, in case you hadn't yet, and double check you have everything before I come to pick you up in two and a half hours."

I snorted at Damon's enthusiasm, "Of course, thank you, Damon. I'll be ready, don't you worry."

"You're welcome, buh-bye!"

"Bye." I hung up and giggled, "What a child." I figured I could sleep on the flight, so I got dressed and double-checked my suitcase and duffel bag. I went on a morning run and made myself breakfast before changing my voice mail to, "Sorry I can't come to the phone right now, I am simply having too much fun with my bestie to answer. If it is an emergency, please leave a message, if not hang up and don't call back. I shall be back home right after New Years. Thank you!"

When my doorbell rang I couldn't have jumped off the couch faster. I sped over to the door and jumped into Damon's arms, "Hey! Are you ready?"

"Whenever you are," he replied, returning my hug.

I grabbed my stuff, placing it in the truck of Damon's car as we drove to the airport. We made it through check-in and security pretty easily and were now simply waiting to board when Damon mentioned, "You know, I've never actually been on a plane before."

I giggled, "Well don't worry, I'll be right here if you get scared."

He smirked, bumping me on the shoulder, "I don't get scared."

Seeing Damon's reaction to take-off was hilarious, but after that I slept most of the flight with my head on Damon's shoulder, thankful that he actually let me sleep. After collecting our bags, catching a taxi, and checking into our hotel at the Caesar's Palace, Damon asked, "So, what do you have planned for our first night here?"

I chuckled nervously, "I didn't actually have anything planned, I thought we could make it up as we went along."

Damon smirked, "I like it, well let's go party then. Put on something sexy, we're going clubbing."

I went into the bathroom to change, calling, "Well isn't this nostalgic?"

"What?" He called back. "Me ordering you around?"

"No, this is how our partnership began. You were bored and told me to go clubbing with you."

I opened the door after getting on my outfit and began fixing my hair and make-up. Damon came in, looking my up and down, "Well aren't you prepared. Planning on seducing anyone?"

I raised an eyebrow, "Well, if it's working for you, then I'll definitely snag some poor unfortunate soul."

Damon lowered himself to whisper in my ear, "What if I want you all to myself?"

I elbowed him in the gut to get  him away from me, "Relax, Damon, I was kidding. This trip is just us, me helping you have fun. No vampires, no tomb, No Mystic Falls."

My cellphone rang and Damon frowned, "No Mystic Falls?"

I picked up the phone and hit the reject call button, "No Mystic Falls." I turned back to the mirror, finishing up before pulling out my laptop and looking up clubs downtown, "There's a club downstairs. All you have to do is compel me in."

Damon held out his hand, "Done, let's go." I took his hand and we walked downstairs to the entrance of the Omnia Nightclub. After compelling us in, Damon led me to the dance floor and whispered in my ear, "Try to keep up."
