I reach over to the night stand and grab my phone.

"Hello?"

"Yes is this October Kinkaid."

"This is her."

"This is Katherine at L.A. animal medical center. I'm calling to let you know the puppy you brought in is doing a lot better. You can pick him up anytime before 5:00 p.m."

"Ok thank you."

I hang up the phone and turn to face Dominic. I shake his shoulder trying to wake him up.

"Hmm?"

"Dominic the vet just called. We can pick the puppy up today."

Dominic's eyes shoot open.

"Will pick him up after your meeting."

"Yay! Oh does everyone know about the meeting?"

"Yeah I reminded Dimitri about it last night at the hospital. And to let Michael and Shawn know."

"Thank you love. We've got to get up and head to the hospital."

I got up and walked over to the closet with Dominic right behind me.

Out of nowhere I got a sharp pain in my lower stomach. I grabbed my stomach and almost fell luckily Dominic caught me.

"Whoa! October are you ok?"

"I think so. I got a sharp pain in the my stomach."

"Do you need to be looked at when we get to the hospital?"

"No I think it's just cramps."

"If it get worse you better tell me."

"Dominic I will."

He cups my face and kisses my forehead.

"I love you. I just don't want anything to happen to you."

"I know you don't and I love you so much for that."

A little while later we got to the hospital.

"Hey bestie."

"Hey Lynn feeling better today?"

"Yeah I was actually able to eat something."

"That's good. I feel bad that I gotta steal Dimitri for a little bit."

"It's ok I understand. He kept asking me if I knew what you had in mind."

I start laughing.

"Sorry Dimitri I told no one."

"Yeah she wouldn't even tell me. I'm her husband!"

"Even tried to use sex against me."
