"She's never coming out!

She's gonna sit in there forever!"

It's been 36 hours!

I'm only at 7 centimeters and my doctor keeps mentioning a c-section.

On top of everything else the pain meds have stopped working.

I haven't yelled at Dominic though like I hear women do on TV. Dimitri on the other hand. I think he's scared of me now.

"October?"

"Yeah mom?"

"Maybe you should consider the c-section honey."

I just sigh loudly cause I have been for the past four hours.

I look at Dominic waiting for him to say anything. Since it got brought up earlier he hasn't said anything about it since.

"Dominic?"

"October if it comes down to you having to have a c-section, it might be best.

You gotta do what's safe for you and what's safe for her.

It doesn't make you any less of a mother for not having natural birth."

"I say this a lot but you are the best husband in the world."

He leans down kissing my lips softly.

I push the button to call a nurse. Few minutes later my doctor actually came in.

"October I think it's time for you to decide on the c-section."

"That's why I pushed the button."

"We talked about it and we think it'll be best for October to have one."

"Ok will get an operating room ready."

"Ok."

"Can I still be there?"

"Of course Dominic."

Dominic grabbed my hand squeezing it tightly.

A few minutes later they came in and wheeled me to an operating room. Dominic right behind me not letting go of my hand.

"Ok October we're gonna give you an epidural. So lean up, grab a hold of Dominic if need be."

I lean forward and Dominic wraps his arms around me holding me up.

I can feel the needle go into my back and I dig my nails into Dominic's shoulders. I hear him breath in sharply.

They finally finish and I lay back down.

"Ok that'll take a few minutes to kick in them we can get started. We're gonna prep the incision area.

Oh Dominic by no means look over the sheet.

We have dad's in here passing out or puking when they do. Just stay on that side."

Dominic whispers into my ear.

"I'm looking!"

I laugh.

"Ok October it's time to start. You will feel some pressure that's normal. If you feel any pain even a little bit let us know."

"Ok."

I breath in deeply. I'm so nervous right now. I just want Sage to be healthy.

Dominic looks over the sheet.

"They're making the incision baby."

I shake my head.

"You doing ok love?"

"Yeah are you?"

"Yeah. Ok they're going in."

Oh geez.

"How are you doing October? Feeling any pain?"

"I'm ok."

I can start feeling the pressure though.

"Oh my god October I can see her."

Dominic looks back down at me with a big smile on his face.

"Ok she's out."

But I don't hear anything. Then my heart monitor starts beeping fast.

"October you need to calm down. Your heart is beating way too fast."

Dominic starts rubbing my face with his hand trying to calm me down.

I finally hear her cry.

"Oh my goodness."

I put my hands over my mouth and start crying. Dominic is holding me tightly.

"Ok we've got you all stitched up. Will take you to your recovery room."

I respond through tears. "Ok."

I get wheeled into a recovery room but I haven't seen Sage yet. Then I notice Dominic isn't here.

Few minutes later he walks in the room holding her.

"Look what I got."

He walks over to the bed and I carefully sit up. I put out my arms and he hands her to me.

"Oh my goodness Dominic she's so beautiful."

"She looks just like you."

"Except for those beautiful blue eyes of her's. They kinda look familiar."

I look up at him, we've both got tears in our eyes.

"Should we let everyone in?"

"YES PLEASE WERE DYING OUT HERE!"

I hear Dimitri from the hallway.

"Guys come in!"

Dimitri, Lynn, my mom, Shawn, Michael, Elizabeth and Jason are all here.

I hand Sage over to Dominic.

He shows Sage to everyone with such a loving proud look on his face. He's got such a genuinely happy smile.

Everyone keeps saying how beautiful she is.

My mom has already volunteered to babysit.

Dominic sits back down next to me.

"How you doing momma?"

"I'm doing ok daddy."

That's so weird to say.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"You did so great and you didn't call me one mean name."

"Me on the other hand!"

"Sorry Dimitri. I still love you."

"Love you too Halloween."

He comes over kissing my forehead.

"I'm so proud of you baby in every single way."

"Thank you for giving me Sage."

He leans down kissing my lips lightly and he rests his forehead against mine.

I love this man with everything I have.
