"For how long where you working in that Café?", he asked. "For 6 years. And I loved my job there. It was better than not having a job at all.", I answered. "Does this woman still live?" "Why? Do you want to arrest her like you did to my friends. I want to see them one last time. Just to say goodbye.", I said.
"Very well. Guards, are the prisoners ready to be let free?" "Yes, your majesty.", a Guard answered. "Good. Take them to the hall. You know which one. Keep the handcuffs on them. Free them when I say so.", he said. The Guard bowed and my father yanked me up. We walked to the grand hall and there they were.
"Bow to your king.", the guards yelled. Of course no one of them did. But they were forced to their knees. "My daughter wants to say goodbye. You are going to be free men. I won't have a disaster like this happen again, ever. My daughter saved your life and next time, you'll be dead.", he said.
I walked over to Courfeyrac. We both had tears in our eyes. "Emilia, please, change your mind. I'd rather die here instead of leaving you here all by yourself.", he said. "Please, live your happy life as a free men. I will follow you, one day. Till death do us part.", I said. He nodded. He pulled me close and kissed me.
The kiss didn't last long because we were pulled apart. They were set free. At least I reached something.

I ran back to the Café. As I reached it, I could see how full it was and immediately made my way to behind the counter. I was fast and soon the line of people were seated in the Café. "Bonjour Madame. I am sorry for being late.", I said to her. She just smiled. "That's Alright. I'm glad you're back. Did you enjoy your free time?" "I did. I spent them with Courfeyrac.", I said.
"Ah, then I know what happened. So are you two serious now?", she asked. "Yes, we are. We just need to tell the boys.", I explained. "Ah that's good. But please be careful. You know who you are and when the National Guard finds out, then you'll be arrested.", she said. "I know.", I said, "I told Courfeyrac." Her eyes widened.
"How did he take it?" "He was shocked, pointed his gun at me. He didn't pull his trigger. But we talked and I explained it to him.", I said. "Oh my dear child, you had some luck there. He could've shot you.", she said. "Madame, you had almost the same reaction as him, just without the gun.", I confessed.
"My dear, I am very sorry for that. You didn't deserve it. Your father is a horrible man.", she said and I nodded. "I know. And I am so terribly sorry for what he has done.", I said. "You shouldn't be sorry. You, after all, are a good person. Even if I didn't think that when you told me your secret.", she confessed, "But now I know better. You should never judge people by their family. You may be royal, but your heart and your mind is like a Revolutionary."
I laughed. She called me a Revolutionary. "Thank you Madame. It means a lot to hear that.", I said and hugged her.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"A Revolutionary. HA! You as a Revolutionary.", he joked. "Father, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't a Revolutionary.", I said. Then he slapped me. "You have betrayed me. You, my own flesh, my blood. And you will suffer the consequences." "I already am suffering. Where are the little boys you arrested? Did you let them go?", I asked.
"What boy?" "A few boys have fought with us. Did you let them go like I asked you?", I asked. "My child, you take too much time explaining what and how you got a Revolutionary. Maybe it's time for me the find out what's actually going on.", he said.
"Maybe.", I said.
